I've removed AmiUpdate from autobooting at startup, as it seems there's nothing to worry about for more than a year now. On the other hand, if something new appears, you will be easily notified on the various Amiga forums.

@JTKirk lol. I packed my X1000 away for 10 months and when I came back there were 3 minor system updates...
Anything of interest came from indie developers like zzd10h.

It saddens me to say that Hyperion, despite how hard the official devs may be working, "appears" to be dead.
