GFX corruption with Final Edition
Just can't stay away
Just can't stay away

Anyone else seeing this type of graphics corruption on AmigaOS 4.1 FE?
Fresh Install with composition enabled. Doesn't happen without composition.

There are stripes missing in the titlebars. You can click trough the gaps to the drawer underneath.

I use a RadeonHD 6850 and Radeon 9250 with Radeon v1.2 drivers.

Any ideas? Resized Image

I have seen this same thing on my DOpus5 screen under FE. I turned off compositing for that screen and that went away. I have not seen it on Workbench with compositing on, however.

I don't have my FE yet (still pending at AmigaKit after 6 days) but your corruption looks very much like the corruption I've always had on my X1000 when using 8 bit screens with old software. What's your screen resolution and depth??

32bit 1920x1080. Changing depth or resolution has no effect on the corruption.

Yes, it's a bug that was discovered too late. AFAIK, it only affects systems with 2 graphics cards (hence, why it took a while to discover).

Of course, there will be an update at some point that fixes this problem.

I noticed that the corruption disappears when the drawer is resized.
Is the patch being worked on? Right now I have gone from 4.1.6 to a system with broken compositing.
Additionally there is an issue with the OS getting confused between the two cards. .. I will quantity this a bit more next year ;)

You mean being worked on right now on new year's day?

Of course it's being worked on. Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to confirm that it's a multi-card problem. However, there's a process that needs to be worked through. After a bug has been fixed, any OS module still needs to be properly tested by beta testers before being released, and that takes time. So, please be patient.

Is this something new in 4.1 FE? Or was it in 4.1.6 too?
