I remember that already 2 years ago on AmiWest A-eon told thet the U-Boot updates for X5000 wuold be made more easily available for end users.
But AFAIK that has not happened... They are not available via Updater/Amistore. Also, when I last time asked from my dealer (Amedia), they did not have anything to offer.
Is there an update? From Updater would be very useful but I don't know if it's possible for OS4 software to update the firmware. If it's on SD card that makes it easier though usually a UBoot shell and technical commands used for that kind of thing.
But, at least your X5000 is supported, even if slow till update. I've been waiting decades for an X1000 update which should happen sooner rather than later given they have the source now. The X1000 loading speed is shockingly slow compared to an X5000.
I am looking forward to both, an update of UBoot for the X5000 and an update of CFE for the X1000.
If I had the skills, I would port UBoot to the X1000, possibly without the XENA stuff, it is useless anyway and nobody will ever produce anything for it. I hope RadeonRX cards will be supported soon.
Would any of you X1000-owners be ok with It and willing to pay if AmiKit released an Update (or UBoot port) for let's say 50€?
