I believe it is the right to do.

Because if the site talke about other OS, we open a gate to all other OS.

And AROS, its is great, not talk it not is, but, no more a amiga OS, just a kind of OS for x86 that have a little of the Amiga soul.

I like to see the AROS people working in their projet and want all of good for this people.

But I agree, no sense mix AROS with a AmigaOS site.

I do not know wy this companies that now are just making things for PC not make free the last amiga version of their programs.

Newteck for example won very much money from the amiga cominity. I believe it not will make difference for this company make free the lightwave.

some others companys the same.

I am not yet with the sam and AmigaOS SDK to give a answer.

But I can say it is a low level job.

Maybe you in contact with the hyperion team with this information, he make a OS fix if it not ecxist yet.

looking the 440ep architeture maybe the problem that we are having, and looking we giving much stack to the environment, I suspect the problem is in the memory alocation.

The PPC 440ep have a bug in the last 256k alocation anddress, if the OS no make it unvailable, I do not know if it is, we will have problems if the program tray get this .

The PPC440EP DDR controller acknowledges transactions which cross over the end-of-memory-range boundary and correctly responds only with the valid data. When the PLB3-to-PLB4 bridge is the PLB4 bus master making the read request to the DDR controller, it waits indefinitely until it receives all of the data requested regardless of the boundary condition.
Impact:
Since the DDR controller only returns the valid portion of a read request, the PLB3-to-PLB4 bridge waits indefinitely for the remaining data preventing other PLB masters from completing their transactions.
Workaround:
Forbid any application to access the last 256 bytes of DDR memory. For example, make your operating system believe that the last 256 bytes of DDR memory are absent.

The cpu clock work much over the board clock.

the supercomputer that I post a link use 2 PCIex8 links to the boards tranfer data.

and if you get a look in one usual today video card, one HD 4890 for example process more than 1.6 Teraflop of computer power with a PCIeX16 slot linking to the PC CPU and more than 125gb/s

It is a CPU if you thing about it, just dedicated to process graphics.

In the same way a CPU to other use can be linked too using the PCIe conection to the board CPU.

It is just question to make a driver to the OS can see and use this new card.

for example, if a company make a board like the sam440, with this CPU power. it is Ok for 90% of the users. but if it have plus a CPU slot, it will be fantastic, becouse the PPL will can instal powerfull CPU to professional use, like render or video edition.

It can be a PCIex16 slot., for example, a board with 3 PCIex16, 1 you use for CPU up, 2 to GPU, or 2 for CPU and 1 to
gPU.

it will be fantastic, and I believe not much more expencive than one actual sam440.

The CPU slot can use until a x86 base CPU, it is not primary, the OS need just know how to work with the secundary CPU, like the IBM worstations using X80i Cell CPU more opteron CPU together.

In this case, you will can buy a phenon II 810 expansion board very chip with much more power than a PPC CPU.

The PPC OS work on the primary CPU PPC, and the calcs the secundary CPU x86 can do easy.

Like the ageia physics expansion to PC, it work just for calcs.

the OS will need just a CPU driver, like any video driver, will work just a calc card.
