Posted by ssolie on 2007/3/7 17:28:23 (2059 reads)
Software News

RockBEAT 2.1 is now available for AmigaOS4 users. The community has been so good to me over the years, that I've decided to make RockBEAT FREEWARE effective immediately!

What is it??

RockBEAT is a simple software drum machine for AmigaOS4. It is a tool for musicians that allows you to create drumming tracks. It can create multiple tracks, each one being 4x 4/4 measures with 16th notes. You can save individual tracks as wav files, or the whole thing as one big song. You can drop in your own 16bit stereo 44100Hz PCM WAV samples in the drumsamples/ folder if you like.

Internet News : RIP Richard Joseph
Posted by GrumpyOldMan on 2007/3/6 2:39:46 (2127 reads)
Internet News

Just read this from Wikipedia:

"Richard Joseph was a computer game composer, musician and sound specialist. He has had a career spanning some 20 years starting in the early days of gaming on the C64 and the Amiga and onto succeeding formats through to the present day.

After being diagnosed with lung cancer, he passed away on March 4, 2007."

Richard Joseph was the man behind some of the most memorable Amiga game tunes, including the tunes found from Cannon Fodder 1 and 2, Sensible Soccer series and James Pond games.

You can find the list of his Amiga game tunes from here:

Richard Joseph

Requiescat in pace, Richard. Your music will live forever.

Posted by AndreasM on 2007/3/5 0:48:37 (1677 reads)
Internet News

APC&TCP is searching translators from German to English for a bigger, long term Amiga project .

Requirements:

- English has to be native language
- very good English spelling
- you have to understand German texts very well
- basic knowledge concerning the Amiga (you should know what you translate)
- speed (generally the translations have to be done quickly)

You don't have to work for free. But we cannot pay huge amounts of money for it.

Interested users should contact us via email in German language at Andreas@apc-tcp.de

Unfortunately respones may take a while.

Resized Image
Amigans.net now has a paypal account.

We appreciate your patronage, but as you all know by now, hosting isn't cheap so if you can help us out, we would be really grateful.

The alternative is to produce a nude calendar with all the Amigans.net staff on it - and we know you wouldn't want that!!!

Please donate and keep this webportal going!
Thanks!
