and and try also to add -cache 81920 to the mplayer command line. it will be enable the cache but it doesn't work with dvd |

I would take the benchmarking with a pinch or to of salt: new version: VC: 2.237s VO: 1.796s A: 0.490s Sys: 38.902s = 43.425s leitmotiv version: VC: 3.531s VO: 0.014s A: 0.437s Sys: 38.302s = 42.284s Afaiu, video codec(vc) is more efficient in the new version, but the differenc in "VO" (video output?) raises some suspicions here (two orders of magnitude). It can be nice, but even when it's not visible, it still impacts the performance a bit. |

peg2 / os4.1. Try for sure set from fullscreen to window mode more than 2 times (like 5-6 times). If no bug for you - for sure related to peg2 version of OS or some bad libs for me ? (which ones?) |

I tried on my A1XE and I've got no problem at all switching to/from fullscreen (in fact I even did it several times because I was playing with the 'Aspect' preferences). @afxgroup I just did a few test last night but it seems that on some circumstances MPlayer is opening a shell window (without writing into it) when it's launched from the "execute command" of the WB (Amiga-e shortcut). I'll try to find the reproducable steps, but it was when activating the OSD... |

must to say, that on 1ghz nothink about slowing down of vids with meny or without. @afxgroup btw, it's possible to add the same almost default mplayer gui (i mean gmplayer, because this is, sort of, the default front-end), as Fab do for mos version ? Gui itself are pretty stlilish, elegant, and easy for end users (never like this boring and not so logical gui from onyxsoft). @abalaban hm.. looks like peg2 only related ? need to ask someone else with peg2 for tests .. |

The Fab GUI use MUI 4 and however we have DVPlayer that is the official GUI player :D and for mplayer there is the Daniel GUI |

@SoundSquare pretty strange.. for you no problems with it, and with @beeps@ in SDl apps. Looks like our pegs2 or os4.1 are diferent ? Your os4.1 are public one ? Which revision of peg2 do you have ? |

Re: A new version of MPlayer is available to download MUI is compatible with 3.x (except for some apps that were peeking/poking deep internals). But it also adds and extends some classes methods/attributes which of course won't work or show on previous releases.
Anyway, Deadwood ported that GUI to AROS/Zune without too much trouble (and zune isn't even totally 3.x-compliant), but it certainly needs some modifications in playlist for instance (mui4 lists were greatly improved), as well as an alpha-aware dtpic.mui for controls (else it will work, but look rather ugly with a white bg :)). |
