Hardware News : M-Audio Revolution 5.1 supported

Hardware News

With the latest Envy24HT AHI driver and Mixer just uploaded to OS4depot, the M-Audio Revolution 5.1 sound card is now supported. See http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/Revolution51-main.html for the product's features. Although expensive, this card has great sound quality for both recording and playback.

Some notes on this card: headphone out is supported, but you cannot monitor the inputs with it (this is a hardware restriction). Also, surround sound is not supported.

The latest Envy24HT driver is also a must for ESI Juli@ users, giving much better playback quality and enabling analogue in monitoring.

For people with A1's without the onboard audio chip, the latest Mixer has an option 'NO_VIA' to suppress the VIA686B's sound controls and some additional fixes.

This fixes all problems i had before so i dont need any tools to enable monitoring etc. It starts everything on startup. In my eyes this is a very well done driver and im ok with it. The sound is much more clearer now.

Thanks Dave.

Im going to send him some money later for a Juli@ card and if anyone is interesting in contribution just contact me. This is a thanks for all the work he did.

Sounds great!

I am considering getting one of those Revolution 5.1 cards as a more practical solution than the Delta 1010LT which I'm currently using.

But does anybody know where to get one? I don't see it listed in any Danish stores at least. Any good tips for a decent webshop within EU which carries them?

Best regards,

Niels

That's a really nice looking store! And they even have a Danish version of their pages (along with lots of other languages, it seems).

Thanks for the link, J?rg.

I just ordered the card, using OWB 1.19, BTW! No problems, neither with the site itself (which automatically defaulted to Danish) nor with the checkout and credit card stuff.

Best regards,

Niels

do you think this driver will be ok with a Revolution 7.1 card in my Sam flex?
