Airsoft Softwair, the hardest working men in code business, are proud to announce the immediate availability of version 1.1 of the XAD plugin for Hollywood. This plugin allows Hollywood scripts to open archives using the XAD system.

The XAD system is a toolkit designed for handling various file and disk archiver formats which supports many common archiver formats like ZIP, LhA, LZX, CAB, bzip2, TAR, and RAR so that it is a powerful tool for people that have to deal with compressed data a lot. On AmigaOS and compatibles Hollywood's XAD plugin uses xadmaster.library directly whereas on non-Amiga platforms xadmaster is embedded into the plugin.

Version 1.1 is a minor update with some enhancements and important bug fixes. It is now available for free download from the official Hollywood portal. Thanks to Hollywood's cross-platform plugin system versions for AmigaOS3 (m68k), AmigaOS 4, MorphOS, Linux (ppc, arm, arm64, x86, x64), macOS (ppc, x86, x64, arm64), Windows (x86, x64), Android (arm, arm64), and iOS (arm, arm64) are provided.
