Software News : Kyvos, the new Qemu frontend is released
Posted by walkero on 2025/7/22 10:36:45 (1754 reads) News by the same author

I released a new project of mine to help people set up AmigaOS 4 on any machine running Qemu 10 and above. Kyvos is a new frontend for Qemu that runs on Linux, macOS and Windows. It is completely free and it helps to start with just a few clicks. It comes with a 70+ page manual that describes all the steps to have an AmigaOS 4 system up and running.

I created this application to provide an easy way for everyone to set up an emulated system, but also for me to avoid using scripts for different systems and setups. Now with just a few clicks, I can change the configuration to what I need to test.

You can find more information at my ko-fi page and you can download it free of charge from https://ko-fi.com/s/6476fdadd2

 Fantastic tool!
I've been working with Walkeros for months on getting the right settings to get the most out of Bolton's work. It's arcane digging through Qemu documentation, testing settings, reboot after reboot. This tool makes it super easy to get a great VM. I've tested with AmigaOneXE and the tool downloads tools automatically, edits CD images, and makes an environment ready to run the installer. Total game changer! Thank you, George, for this amazing work. Cheers, Bill PS Come see this tool and so many more at the AMIGA/040th!

 Kyvos
Thanks for the frontend GUI. This might be helpful for some users of Qemu. The next days I will have a look at it under MacOs and if it is good I will donate for your work.
