About
This is a bounty to get the game development library Allegro ported to
AmigaOS 4.0 and possibly the other Amigaish operating systems like Morphos and Aros.

Allegro is very similiar to SDL.
Allegro is a portable library mainly aimed at video game and multimedia
programming, originally started by Shawn Hargreaves.

According to the Oxford Companion to Music, Allegro is the Italian for
?quick, lively, bright?. It is also a recursive acronym which stands for
?Allegro Low LEvel Game ROutines?.

Links.
Information and download at the official Allegro homepage:
http://www.talula.demon.co.uk/
Examples of games that could be ported when we get Allegro:
http://www.allegro.cc/

Why?
Loads of games and apps are written using this library. If we would get
this ported
to AmigaOS 4.0 it would make porting of those apps/games a breeze.

Requirements.
None, apart from a willing developer/team. If it's a team we leave it up to
the team to split the money between them how they see fit.

The giftware license
Allegro is gift-ware. It was created by a number of people working in
cooperation, and is given to you freely as a gift. You may use, modify,
redistribute, and generally hack it about in any way you like, and you do
not have to give us anything in return... Click here to read the entire Allegro Giftware license.

Donations can be made via Paypal and this site will be be updated with names and amounts
contributed. I encourage every user who wants more games and applications,
to contribute min. EUR 10,00.

Head over to AmigaBounty and make your donation!

Is there a target? With a target donations may be encouraged (I'll stick someon when I get paid)

 Re: Allegro Bounty at AmigaBounty.net
No target.

As bounty is not assigned to anyone, people just need to chip in until someone is willing to do the work (RWO has done some work already).

We haven't got that many donations yet so any amount will help.
