Hi,
I have just uploaded a new release (2.6) of my little app SysMon (MUI System monitor) on OS4Depot.

I have uploaded, too, a new package with an installer , FastCompress including my 4 previous Fastxxx compress tools.

1) In release 2.6 of SysMon :

-Remove of checkip.dyndns.org to determinate the external IP address
(WANIP=ON).
Now, SysMon uses a PHP script hosted by amiga-ng.org (thanks K-L)

-Fix some graphical glitches during swap of tabs

-Add of "MUI..." submenu to access SysMon MUI settings

-Fix the button's shortcuts by replacing KeyButton by SimpleButton (thanks

2) FastCompress

The principle of these tools are to compress with the minimum of clicks the selected files.

This package replaces the 4 individual packages FastLHA, FastZIP, FastLZX and
Fast7z v1.0

The tools are installable with a standard installer (FastCompress_Installer)
who allows you :

-to copy the desired FastTools into a drectory
The LZX.keyfile will be copied in L: drawer only if no LZX.keyfile is present.

-to integrate them in your ContextualMenus (optional)

In v1.1,

-Add of a new ToolType DEST_DIR to specify a fixed output directory or volume
(idea of Anthony 'Phantom' Iliakis) except for Fast7z

-Add of "MUI..." submenu to access Fastxxx MUI settings

-Fix the button's shortcuts by replacing KeyButton by SimpleButton (thanks

Home away from home Joined: 12/02/2006 From: Italy, Perugia Comments: 3837	Re: SysMon 2.6 and FastCompress 1.1 (FastLHA,ZIP,LZX,7z) The integration between FastCompress and the contextmenu is amazing For the next release how about add a "Pause" and a "Stop" button in all FastXXX GUI aswell ? On not so fast machine (like Sam4x0) compress big files need time so a pause button can be good to free some CPU cycles expecially if you are doing somethings else in meantime, but also a stop button can be usefull to have if you did a mistake and/or you just want to cancel an operation already started

Strange, I have added a copy step into the installer to copy the LZX.keyfile to L: drawer (if not previously present) and have tested if before to release (certainly a wrong test). Chris, I'm interrested to know if LZX.keyfile (that you can find in FastLZX/data/LZX/LZX.keyfile) solve this problem ;) thank you @Samo79 I have to see if it's possible to add PAUSE and STOP. I think that it's but I will have to change a lot of things.

I didn't have LZX in C:, but copying that in made no difference either. I rarely use LZX (as evidenced by the fact it wasn't even installed!) but it should still work

Normally, if you don't touch Tooltype, the LZX who is called is included in data/LZX drawer => you don't need to have one installed previously. Please, what are the symptoms when you select some files to compress with FastLZX ? How can I reproduce this issue ? Which kind of files, on which filesystem ? Sorry for all these questions... If you see nothing, could you put the DEBUG ToolType to ON on FastLZX, try again and send me the DEBUG log, please ? Thanks you guillaumeàboesel.fr

I've just done a bulk find/replace on them and it works now!
