![]() Yes :) I remember that 2 years ago you already works on it, then, they introduce new boost, and you stop to follow to it. But if you have new boost compiled for Wesnoth, then maybe it make sense to try VCMI too. That will be really cool. The one of not so many games today in which i still play from time to time (and i think not only i :) )

![]() i've worked in the past on VCMI and indeed there are some amigaos4 patches into. But VCMI now needs wchar implementation.. and we haven't..

![]() Are you sure about wchar ? As far as i remember i already build something with wchar. If i remember right, there was some mess in SDK includes about that, and i add declarations manually or kind..

![]() What am I doing wrong? BOW doesn't start here and complains about
"returning file "/Work/Games/Strategic/Wesnoth-1.8.3//fonts" and "could not initialize fonts". And it generates some funny files in FONTS:fontconfig/fontconfig_cache. What should I do? |

![]() This is the error message I get here:
--- Battle for Wesnoth v1.8.3 Started on Mon Jul 19 20:35:35 2010 returning file "/Work/Games/Strategic/Wesnoth-1.8.3//fonts" Data directory: User configuration directory: /progdir/.wesnoth1.8 20100719 20:35:35 error filesystem: Trying to open file with empty name. 20100719 20:35:35 error config: Could not open file could not initialize fonts --- Afterwards the sytem becomes *very* unstable. Even Ranger crashes with an GrimReaper. Snoopy shows, that BOW opens files in FONTS:fontconfig/conf.d and *sometimes* (not always) writes a new cache file to FONTS:fontconfig/fontconfig_cache. |

![]() why you use SFS/0 and not SFS/2?
SFS/0 is old. you can also use JXFS that is a good and fast filesystem as well This should cure the problem |

![]() Why? Half lazyness, half security reasons. Both machines (SAM440ep and PegasosII) came pre-build with SFS/0 system partitions. SFS/0 is still accessable by MorphOS and OS3.9 machines - so in hazard situations it might be useful ...
![]() I'm no Amiga coder nor a specialist regarding file systems, but shouldn't the underlying fs be "abstracted" enough for any application and behave the same whatever software runs? Is there somebody out there who has BoW running with a SFS/0 partition (SYS: and/or game partiton) also? |

The old versions stopped working with the new multiplayer servers, so this was a very honorable effort. |

![]() Yep, I'll will put together a Snoopy log tomorrow and maybe I can fetch the debug from Ranger - which might give a clue, also.
I'll send you a PM here at Amigans with a link. |

![]() Solved!
The data archive download was incomplete the first time. Re-downloaded and installed, now it works... Thank for this game port! (strange, indeed, no error warnings from lha while dearchiving the first corrupt file...) |
