I know i haven't been the easiest Amiga member to deal with and some would think that i was dreaming out of reality, but at last it seems i am getting right anyway. AmigaOne X1000 is on the way, marking the very new rebirth of the Amiga, and you have now released the AmigaOS 4.1 Update 1, which is also known as AmigaOS 4.1.1! Re: AmigaOS 4.1 Update 1 now available If anyone's having trouble starting modules etc from the Filer using the Tunenet on the 4.1u1 CD. Then change your filetype/userbutton to say:
path/tunenet -load "{f}" (ie, add the -load parameter) For some reason tunenet has either changed its command line parameters or there's a bug in tunenet. |

Re: AmigaOS 4.1 Update 1 now available OK. I got the file eventually after one whole hour watching it download but now cannot unpack the ISO from the lha archive.
I get the message "Error while unpacking A1InstallCD-Upd1.lha filetype is unknown". That is with Unarc, Dopus just shows and does nothing when I try to extract. Anyone have any ideas what to do with this file or is it corrupted. I really do NOT want to spend another whole HOUR waiting for a huge download that then may still not unpack when I finally get it. |

Yes, IB is still my main browser, I only use OWB if I really have to. Thankfully someone posted a way to remove the extra rubbish that was added to the beginning of the file which saved a third download. Installed today, seems working well so far, no keyboard or mouse lockups anymore (fingers crossed). |

Re: AmigaOS 4.1 Update 1 now available My LG KM900 Arena wont show as masstorage. Just says multiclass and nothing in the inspector. Tried to copy 20 pictures in a dir to 4gb memstick and other 8gb memstick and all got corrupted filenames. Wasnt this to be fixed in update 1 ?

Re: AmigaOS 4.1 Update 1 now available USB functionality has been drasticly improved, but you'd be surprised just how many USB devices do not comply fully with the specifications laid out. In those cases, workarounds have to be added to get around the buggy hardware. Unfortunately Memory sticks seem to be one of the worst affected so it's virtually impossible to cope with every device until someone actually starts to use it.
Just check Linux, and see the list of workarounds their USB drivers have to do. MS have it easy, the manufacturers supply the information, or even write their own drivers, no such luck for us. |
