Hi, There is a way with AmigaOS 4.1.1 to assign the priority of the PPC CPU with individual applications. For example, you can raise or lower the priority of a single process as you do with windows. Thank you for any suggestions.
The ChangeTaskPri Shell command does that for programs run from the Shell, or anything that shows up using the Status command. For other tasks, there's no OS-provided method that I know of for users, though it is still possible behind the scenes. For OS3, I use PriMan for that job, though I have no idea if it works on OS4. Try it anyway, it might work just fine if it was written well.
@white Hi, You can also modify applications priority inside their icons. Just right-click and select "Information" on the application icon, next go to "icon" tab.
Hi Petrol, thank you for your suggestion. This can also be useful. But I was looking for something to control the tasks in real time, as Daedalus suggested. Thanks anyway, any suggestion is always used to learn.
And on the pedestal these words appear: "I am Ozimandias, King of Kings. Look at my works, O mighty ones, and despair."
Nothing else remains. Around the decay Of that colossal wreck, boundless and naked, The lonely and level sands stretch far away.
