I tested my speakers, they are oK
I have played with AHI prefs till now without result.
Is there something else i should check?

Check which soundcards are installed, maybe the update process installed more than you have by default and now the wrong card is being used

Be sure and delete all other sound drivers

Thanks
I have used Commodities exchange to see if mixer was used. It is not.
Should i use it? If yes, i don't see how i can do this. With Commodities Exchange i can se how to remove a commodity, i don't see how to add one.

BTW using the RMB on the WB screen and selecting 'utilities' does nit show a Commodities Exchange Item

Thanks

In Devs:Adimodes and AHI i made a subdrawer putting everything in except CS4281(.audio) (SAM) device(.audio) and filesave(.audio)

Is this what you meant?
I am looking now if it has any result

Thats what i meant yes.

You can use Mixer if you need to work with the inputs (better control) otherwise AHI should be sufficient (i think)

If you don't have sound at all, it's best to start without Mixer running. First thing we need to know if the CS4281 audio mode shows up in AHI prefs at all.

If that is the case, make sure that the frequency is 44100 Hz and the volume is 0dB for all units (music unit and unit 0-3). Make sure the CS4281 HiFi Stereo++ mode is actually selected for every unit too. Press the 'test sound' button to see if anything happens. Save the settings in either case.

If still no sound is coming out of it, I'd like to know if you connected your (amplified) speakers to the rear outputs of the motherboard directly, or if you use another output, like for instance a front case output.

Next problem: Tunenet.

In the playlist i have a new-alert.wav which i canhear.
Internet radio tab shows me a lot or stations.
I remember just clicking one made this one play.
Now initially i got a requester telling me that if i did not use Mp3 i should remove mp3_cast . I did this but nothing goes really

Tunenet

Settings/Preferences

Audio Mode --> AHI User Mode
AHI Mode --> CS4281 HiFi Stereo++

iirc you need to DOUBLE click on a radio station to make it load in

Hi,

The radio stations broadcast in MP3 format, so you'll need to have the MP3Cast plugin installed. The MP3Cast plugin needs a compatible mpega.library to decode the MP3 audio.

You can easily install the mpega.library by downloaing the mpega.library from OS4Depot, or the TuneNet download site www.tunenet.co.uk (which has an easy install option).

To recap:

1/ Quit TuneNet

2/ Download and install the mpega.library.
http://www.tunenet.co.uk/download/mpega_libmad.lha

3/ Reinstate the MP3Cast plugin ... or ... download the last publically available experimental MP3Cast plugin by clicking here http://www.tunenet.co.uk/download/MP3Cast-Experimental-1.19.lha

4/ Restart TuneNet.

Hope this helps,
Bean.

P.S. To play WAVS via TuneNet you'll need the datatype plugin, which can be downloaded from http://www.tunenet.co.uk/downloads/tn_datatypes1_6.lha
