Perhaps related to walkero's query, I can't make http://gate2home.com/Japanese-Keyboard/ actually work in the version of NetSurf that came with my AmiCynix. It <i>claims</i> to be a Japanese keyboard, but allows me to type only latin characters.

Can I assume there is an easy fix for this?

It doesn't work in the OS4 native frontend either. I assume it needs Javascript.

Maybe I don't understand "OS4 native frontend"?

It works fine (fine as anything works in Odyssey, anyway), for Japanese and Korean, at least, on my X1000 with OS4.1FE.

(A few seconds later) Now I see: you meant it doesn't work in OS4 native frontend NetSurf.
