I bought a cheap black NEC AD-5170A for about 30 ?. I didn't think that it would work with AOS 4 at all but to my suprice it's worked great with fryingpan, makecd and workbench. I can really recommend it.

OT, but still: don't stick usb ones into A1. Speed and support-wise.
At least not Samsung ones.

I use "super-writemaster" of SAMSUNG for myAone 800 XE
no problem with uboot or FryingPan for
DVD,DVDRW and DVDRAM ...
