About Virtio9PFS-handler

A FileSysBox-based handler for AmigaOS 4.1 FE that mounts QEMU host-shared folders as DOS volumes via the VirtIO 9P (9P2000.L) protocol.

When running AmigaOS under QEMU with a -virtfs shared folder, this handler presents the host directory as a native AmigaOS volume (e.g. SHARED:). You can browse, copy, create, rename, and delete files on the host filesystem directly from Workbench or the Shell.

Thanks for pointing this out, it was due to one of the extra feature I added and it pointed out several places that needed better error handling!

The problem still persists. I reinstalled the system for A1 and updated to UP3.
If you select “Restart System” or “AOS4” from the menu, the system freezes.
If I type “reboot” in the shell, the problem does not occur. Apparently, a reboot from the shell is permanent and does not require closing tasks (I'm guessing).

Now the problem is different.
No, the system can't unmount the drives—it freezes afterward.
Can you check this on your end? Version 0.4 works.
Let me put it this way: I'm not going to be a tester for code that generates AI, and you have no way to verify it.

Thats no problem - if you want to wait for a fully tested release then carry on using the current beta on OS4depot. I was upfront about not being able to test this properly but that should change this weekend so we shall see where we get to.

I’ve tested v0.8.0-beta on QEMU 9, PEG2 and A1.
Everything works fine; the system shuts down correctly.

I’ll test it this evening on QEMU 10 and 11.rc4. If there are any issues, I’ll let you know.

Just can't stay away

I get an error in DOpus4 "DOS code error 1 - Error 1" at random times and have to restart. Sometimes it shows "-1" in a shell window. It can happen when copying/deleting or just listing directory contents. Unfortunately I don't have any steps to reproduce. Any ideas?

Edit: I was just deleting a directory with a bunch of files in it using DOpus4 by selecting the directory and clicking delete. Halfway through deleting, it showed "DOS code error 1 - Error 1". I tried again and got the same message, but I was still able to go into the directory, delete the files there, then delete the directory.
