DiskImamge (os4depot) already has a CUE "driver"

diskimage_device/Devs/DiskImage/CUE

or maybe you're asking fro something different?

Hmm... Well... After you say that.. checked and it seems to indeed work!

I can even use PlayCD from os4 (just need to change CD0 to ICD0 n tooltypes).

What I tried to do now is not made old amiga games such as Napalm Wipeout Earth2140 wors with Audio CD being played. Maybe for that, i need to reassign CD0 to iCD0 or something ..

EDT: Once replaced in Napalm "TRACK 01 MODE2/2336" at the top on "TRACK 01 MODE1/2352" it also start to play via playcd..

But then no actual "data" mounted.

So far seems that MODE2/2336 is not implemented in the .cue plugin. But if it will ok with just such changes then all will be fine of course ..

And it also seems that we need to mount 2 different cds. Like maybe when mount .cue IСD0 should be data cd and ICD1 should be audIo cd.

At least that how I understand that for now ..

I seem to find a way how to run games with audio CD and make them works. Through at the moment, only napalm tested:

1. created .cue with changed MODE2/2336 to MODE1/2352
2. mounted separately: cd.img to icd0: and .cue to icd1.
3. in napalm's prefs changed cd_device and cd_unit to those ones to which audio cd mounts from cue. in my case it was CD_Device=idismage.device" CD_Unt = "5"

Not sure how to deal with games that didn't allow choice of CD_audio device/unit.

You can write a script that unmounts CD0:, mounts ICD0: as CD0: from diskimage and start your emulated game.
Then, on exit, do it the other way round to get your CD0: hardware back

I am about games running directly on os4: napalm, wipeout, foundation, earth2140, and so on.

For now, I am only able to have audio-cd working from napalm. But not in other ones.

For example in earth2140 on running audio-cd detected fine but still no music. The same in foundation - in the prefs, I even can choose manually device and unit and test for play-cd pass fine but still no music in the game. With wipeout when I hit the PlayCD option it also runs, in options name of tracks visibly, when starting a level also said "music track blablabl plays" but still only sounds and no music.

From PlayCD all of them plays normal.

Have you tried to convert the image to .nrg? If I recall right, this cd image is able to support mixed disks quite well, and the diskimage supports it.

The mounted .cue works ok as far as i can tell as i can play all of the tracks from those games in playCD once i set device to ICD0:.

Also in Napalm i made it work by setting in config "diskimage.deviсу / unit 5".

But for example in Wipeout i heard nothing. While code surely can see tracks probably. Maybe they use CD0: directly or some custom player code dunno.

Same for earth2140 - in this one, they even should take the data from mounted Earth2140: and when i run it i have that "CD audio init ok" but also only sounds and no audio cd plays (while tracks here and plays ok from PlayCD).

And the same for Heretic2. i just set up necessary CD and unit in options but that didn't make it :(

EDIT: in wipeout's binary I can see they use cdplayer.lbrary so maybe that fails somehow... But tried and 68k version and one from os4depot Frederik's one - the same result.

EDiT2: But if i for example take Heretic2 CD and mount it (where audio-cd content is placed for) on the place of Napalm's audio-cd (ICD1) and then mount napalm itself as ICD0 as before, then when I start to play in Napalm music from Heretic2 start plays. This means that .bin and .cue and audio data are fine from heretic2 too. Just for some reason didn't play as almost in all others. One exception is napalm! damn :)

Made AudioCD works also in: Wipeout, Foundation, and Payback.
Had to use Frederiks CDDPatch which redirects old-style CDDA code to use AHI.

So for now Napalm, Wipeout, Foundation, and Payback AudioCd's works.

Left to understand why Earth2140 and Heretic2 do not.
