Is there a way to set an ASL file requester to show current dates as Today (and Yesterday for the date before one day) by a user setting?

Unfortunately no. But maybe we can consider to create such a feature in a new asl.library.
A1-XE/G4@933+Radeon7500/64MB, A1200BPPC+BVision
AmigaOS4 on both of course.

Thanks Chip!
Somehow I thought that it was a feature on pre OS4. Anyway it would be cool to spot new files at a glance on asl file requesters as it works on the wb windows.

Yeah, and it works in Dopus4 too.
