Warp3D "new feature" per application config
Just can't stay away

Has anyone tried this new feature of Warp3D??

As read from the wiki, it is possible to create per application/game configuration to avoid compatible issues..

I tried, but there is something i am missing as i wasn't able to test it..

I tried to create a Warp3D drawer into ENV: but everytime i reset my system it is deleted..

I tried to create the following:

ENV:Warp3D/RadeonR200/GLQuake/

inside that i created the following files:

Anisotropic
MaxAnisotropic

Inside the two files i put:

on (for the first)
16 (for the second)

but i didn't notice changes and after that i reset my system, all these variables are gone..

Any hint?

Anything in ENV: is always lost on shutdown, anything in ENVARC: is copied to ENV: on reboot.

Therefore you should create this textfile in ENVARC:

Don't create any files use

setenv save Warp3D/RadeonR200/Anisotrpic on

setenv save Warp3D/RadeonR200/MaxAnisotropic 16

That's how to set the variabales correctly, I've no idea what the correct varaibles are or what effects you might expect.

ok but as far as I understand from the wiki, you have to create a drawer for the application/game..

@Numblechore

yes if you want per app rather than global switches just add that name to the env varaiable, but still set it with setenv

So

setenv save Warp3D/RadeonR200/GLQuake/Anisotrpic on

setenv save Warp3D/RadeonR200/GLQuake/MaxAnisotropic 16

See http://wiki.amigaos.net/index.php/UserDoc:Warp3D#Configuration

Let me know if anything is wrong/unclear.

Ok, I tried to delete the variables with the following syntax but when i reset the system, the variables are still there, into ENV:

I used this syntax:

UnSetEnv SAVE Warp3D/RadeonR200/GLQuake/Anisotropic

and also tried:

UnSetEnv SAVE ENV:Warp3D/RadeonR200/GLQuake/Anisotropic

with the second syntax i can see the file deleted. but when i reset it is still there..

Of course. That is the great thing about a wiki. Any errors can be quickly corrected.
