Hi All,

I've made some minor tests on both Sam440ep 667Mhz and Sam440Flex 800Mhz.

I wanted to share the values with you.
The test was done with Quake OpenGL ... It's a bad sample but it's the only one I have actually running on the flex board... Nearly all other OpenGL app crash :(

Complete configurations :
Sam440EP :
- AMCC 667Mhz
- 512Mb RAM
- Radeon IGP 9200 64Mb

Sam440Flex :
- AMCC 800Mhz ( 667Mhz overclocked by ACube )
- 1Gb RAM
- Radeon PCI 9250 128Mb

Resolution    Sam440ep       Sam440flex      Quake2.4 On Sam440llex
320x240         66.2             NA                 NA
640x480         21.2             32.3               38
800x600         14.7             22.7               26.8
1024x768         9.7             15.1               17.8
1280x1024       10.5             9.6                11.3

I will try to make other comparizons when possible ...
If other people have made some tests ... tell us here :)

EDIT :
I am now able to make Quake 2.4 run on my flex :p I've added the result with it :) Better performances :)

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

Instead of using the opengl version that is not the best and because the 3D has problems on both machines, use the software render that is sam optimised to see the real difference between the boards
You can find it on os4depot.net, cobra did the conversion and has optimised the code

crash with black screen after some seconds running ...

I found my Sam440Flex really unstable comparing to the Sam440ep ...

Have you tried with only one memory module.

@Rob

The best thing is to wait for the update of amiga that should fix all these problems

Hi All,

a friend (the Amiga reseller un France) telled me to add +RB or -RB to the screen tooltypes for Radeon monitor ... it should fix this video lost problem ...

I will try this later today ...
