At my room temperature is 26 degrees, the CPU of my X5000 is 68-69 degrees warm. 70-80 degrees CPu temperature in summer is completely normal.
Another example....my son has an Xbox series x and the living area is about 28 degrees because he lives upstairs in the house. The Xbox cools down naturally but the fans run at 100% and yes it's very loud, I didn't even know an Xbox could get that loud

55-56 degrees is what i'm usually at with my 020. I have the old mcu firmware that made the fan go crazy already at low temperatures so i had to add extra hardware to slow the fans down.

I touched the CPU heatsink, and it's boiling hot! Would it be a good idea to change the thermal paste?

@skynet If the CPU heatsink is hot then thermal transfer is good. Maybe change for a better fan. My X1000 never goes over 55°C.

I installed the big cooling fan I use in front of the processor, and the temperature dropped. I went from 53 degrees for the PCB to 49 degrees 77 degrees for the CPU to 71 degrees 72 degrees for the PCIe to 59 degrees

My "new" (April 2025/Made in 2018) X5000/40 has PCB:46 CPU:66 PCIe Switch:59 celsius. Don´t remember what my X5000/20 was at, but my A1XE I got down to CPU:37 celsius with a copper cooler and a fan. So I´m gonna look into what copper coolers may fit, or CNC one that fit.
