Amiga OS 4.1 resolution Hz question

What are the highest hertz in Amiga OS 4.1 with 4K resolution?

I bought a new monitor Samsung OLED32G81SF and with it I get 1920x1080 120Hz but 2560x1440 60Hz and 3840x2160 only 30Hz.

The machine is X5000/20 and it has a graphics card RX580 8Gb.

You need to use a 48 Gbps HDMI cable for 4K 240hz, lower rated HDMI cables will revert to lower refresh rates.
If you're using the cable supplied with the monitor then you're probably ok.

4K 240hz is part of the "HDMI 2.0" spec, I'm not sure if that is a different protocol to DVI/HDMI 1.x that needs driver support.



*edit* The Radeon RX 580 has HDMI 2.0b, which can only drive a 4K display at 60hz and 1440p at 144hz iirc.

I think it can do higher refresh rates through Display Port but I'm out of the loop with OS4, I'm not sure the Radeon HD/RX drivers support Display Port output.

Hi, I tested DisplayPort on my Radeon 560 and it's not recognized.

However, Uboot recognizes DisplayPort.

It is plugged using hdmi cable. Only 30Hz resolution 3840x2160 i don´t get that why it is so low Hz.

I have HDMI 2.1 standard 120Hz cable, pc working fine same cable 240Hz 3840x2160 resolution.
