3D print of X5000 backplate

My X5020 backplate has broken while changing case 😒

Is there a 3D print file of the backplate somewhere? Just cecking before I order one. Printing would be way quicker …

Thank you in advance.

@kas1e

Deleting the Warp3DSI removed the DSI on WipeOut

Still have no sound. But when I exit I get an error that maybe can point towards the problem. Here is a link to the screengrab.

I am using the Creative Labs Soundblaster Audigy FX (24bit/192kHz 5.1) with the HD audio driver. Latest version 6.8.

@samo79

I am aware of that And have updated to the version of CDplayer.library you are pointing to. However, I have no sound at all. No sound effects. Nothing. And I have enabled AHI sound.

BTW: I do not have a physical CD in my X5000 so I have ripped the CD and mounted the image. Have anyone managed to get the WipeOut music working form a mounted image?

@kas1e

Maybe you could make a short tutorial on what the optimal NovaBridge install is? What libs where and what version etc. Just so that people are on the same page before testing.

I have WipeOut running fine but no sound for instance. And i get a DSI when I exit.

Just a thought! And thank you in advance!

Thank you for all the good advice!

Found a SMD-shark here in Denmark and the board is on its way for a welldeserved service.

Wish me luck

@khayoz

Caught in real life ...

I have thought about doing it my self but have gone away from that idea again. Risk is just too great since I do not have the experience or the equipment.

I am located in Copenhagen. I have reached out to the Amiga community here in Denmark to see if there are any SMD wizards around.

Have you experience with X5000 boards? I am looking to get the cap reattached and the rest of the board looked after carefully to see if any of the other components are considering abandoning ship ...

My X5000 is getting old ....

Today I was moving two SATA cables and suddenly one of the capacitors (C1162) FELL OFF!

The machine works - at least now. Anyone know what the capacitor is related to?

And last but not least any suggestions on how to solder it back on again? I am not the experienced with SMD soldering. To say the least!

@Spectre660

Yes I have Warp3D SI installed. Latest version.

@Capehill

Thank you. Will look there. But my problem is not related to OGLES2/Nova - at least not as I see it

@all
Thank you for all your good suggestions

I am still VERY interested in hearing from other R9 290X users.

@kas1e
See mail

@walkero

As far as I know Spencer is a Warp3DNova game. That works fine. Are there any other?

Gorky 17 freezes the system on the opening boat scene. The speedboat sails for a second or two then the system freezes. It works fine on a clean update 1 install.

At the same time Shogo works just fine on my update two partition so I am beginning to suspect something hardware related with my card. As in it not beeing completely supported.

I have recently turned on a couple of more fans in my system to get some more cooling going so I do not think it is heat related. What is the best temperature for the CPU? Mine is running around 70.

I am having some stability issues after update two and I am trying to sort out if this is hardware or software related.

I have an X5020 and I am using a Sapphire R9 290X 2GB graphics card.

So far it has worked fine but with update two some of the Warp3D/minigl games freezes when they are starting up.

Anybody else running a R9 290X card in their X5000?

The supported card lists on Hdrlabs is old .... http://hdrlab.org.nz/projects/amiga-o ... mpatibility/#Motherboards

I am using the 3.7 RadeonHD driver and latest Warp3D and Minigl.

Thank you in advance!

Re: Enhancer Bug thread

I get occasional crashes with the new PTP file transfer utility on my X5000. The system just locks when it its nearing the end of loading the content on my iPhone 7.

By occasional I mean once every 3-5 times I use it. Especially the first couple of time I used it, it was bad and the crashes were almost every time. After about 20 tryes it is every 3-5 times.

I think it is the USB driver or something that crashes so I am no sure if it is PTP that causes the crash but below are the serial debug from two of the crashes.
