By the way, any experience with the DDR2 Boost option?
Did anyone some Benchmarks? Experienced any instabilities?

I updated as well today.
Despite the "fixed USB handling especially for keyboard support", I still can't use my Keyboard in Uboot, but that's ok. When I ever have to use Uboot again, I just use the Logitech K400.

Wow, just wow!

And please, let's all read the included readme file. Not that we unintentionally drive someone mad otherwise.

Very cool and quite interesting thanks to google translate! When I see the pictures of both boards, I must say I somehow prefer the look of a fully stocked board so I somehow adore the A1222, like the Sam460EX compared to the clean, almost cheap look of the LE ;)

The Creative Audigy FX and also the V2 are fine cards as well, but they're not listed in the MorphOS compatibilty list. Both cards have realtek chips, but I have no idea about compatibilty in AmigaOS.

The HDA driver situation is interesting. Any further infos on this?

The Envy24 series are native PCI soundchips so the PCIe cards have a bridge-chip, which is more convenient than a PCI-PCIe adapter. I know only one PCIe soundcard with a real Envy24 chip (ESI Juli@ XTe), but there are also cards with the Tremor entry-level chip (VT1723) which are way better to get. Tremor fully works with the Envy24HT drivers.

Here is a list of Envy24 cards:
https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/VIA_Vinyl_Audio

I bought a similar card like this:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/29627151126 ... s&_ul=GB&mkevt=1&mkcid=28

It's not a premium sound solution of course, but I think it's a great choice for the SAM460.

I have exactly the same problem and on MorphOS no problems with network as well!
It doesn't matter which browser is used (but updating to IBrowse 3.0a is recommended anyway).

It is interesting that amiganuts doesn't have this issue with his old HDD. Maybe you can spot all differences in the configurations and test it with your new setup?

Re: Power supply for SAM460LE?

I use a 300W ATX PSU in an Inter-Tech IM-1 Pocket mATX. It's still enough for some power consuming older GPUs. If you use a modest RX550, a 200W SFX PSU will surely be sufficient.

This is my SAM460LE

The cables can be hidden better, but since I change GPUs for MorphOS and AmigaOS, it is tedious to order the cables every time.

I managed to get a SiI3114 card and the freezes are gone! What an annoying issue, but finally I can enjoy my SAM460! Sad that this wasn't mentionend in the manual, it could've saved me lots of nerves...
MorphOS runs super stable, but on AmigaOS I still experience some software related issues like stopping internet access after a few minutes of web browsing. I will ask for these issues in different threads.

Glad to see there are some more Sam460LE owners here.

I have stability issues with my Sam460LE and maybe someone here can help me troubleshooting.
I have a Si3112 card with one HDD attached. I set up a nice dual boot for AOS4.1 and MorphOS.
On both OSes, the system freezes randomly!
I ran memtest on MorphOS, but my RAM seems the be fine. And SFSDoctor says that my Filesystem structure is correct.
I don't think it's a temperature problem, I left the case open and tested with a pedestal fan.
I tested with different GPUs, no difference.
Can my PSU be faulty? It has 300W and should be more than enough for this system and one of my GPUs is a modest RX550...
I also supspect my SATA card. How likely is it, that this could be the culprit?
Any idea that narrows down the error source is greatly appreciated! Can you also recommend any tools for stress testing, etc.?

Thank you very much for your support so far Hans, as I hopefully supported you by buying the driver.

The SAM460 takes only one GPU, so I was switching them.

I totally forgot the lite driver from the installation CD... Yeah that worked :) Finally I was able to install the driver from Enhancer 2.2 again. But the java based AmiStore is a great idea, too! Good to know and surly be handy in the future!

I hope within the next Enhancer release, the driver installation will be more failure-proof ;)

I thought the ; is for commenting out, that's why the confusion.
Edit: @joerg thanks for clarifying, that's what I was thinking!

I have a Sapphire Pulse RX 550 GPU and also a PowerColor X1950 Pro which I now tested. With both GPUs the OS won't load anymore.
So, when the V5 driver drops functionality for older GPU's like this X1950 card, wouldn't it be great to have also the V3 drivers as a fallback than overwriting them?
For example, one could have RadeonHDv3.chip and RadeonHDv5.chip as well as RadeonRX.chip and ATIRadeon.chip, so that upon boot the suitable driver will be loaded!

So in my case, I either need to overwrite the V5 driver with a V3 driver from Enhancer or get a Southern Islands card from Ebay...

Do you mean > in front of MODULE or after MODULE?
like this? MODULE > kickstart/RadeonHD.chip
And what does the > do?

I've looked into the installer script:
"The driver supports ATI(TM) Radeon(TM) X1000 series and Radeon(TM) HD 2000 - 6000 series graphics cards."

The ABOUT section of the README is a bit more precise:
"It supports everything from the Radeon HD 2000 series
(R600 chipsets) through to the Radeon HD 7000 series (Southern Islands
chipsets). It also supports some Radeon Rx cards. Older Radeon X1300-X1950
graphics cards (R500 chipsets) are supported as well, although these are not
recommended."

So according to this, my GPU should work!

But then there is also written the following:
"Additional information can be found on the Radeon HD driver Wiki at:
http://wiki.amiga.org/radeonhd"

I opened the link and in the wiki you can read:
"From Version 5, the RadeonHD driver only supports Southern Islands chipsets such as the RadeonHD 7770, R7-240 and R7-250."

This is very messed up documentation! Why isn't this text written in the installer or the readme? This could have saved me a lot of trouble!
