Cool!!!!

Well done ! Looking forward to see it running.

@Maijestro

Well both OSes have there own specialties, thats not the point. It would be great to have SCUMMVM on my X5000 working as well based on you latest version. I just thought that in the SCUMMVM version from 2026 when compiled all engines are just there... but i am probably wrong As Kas1e pointed out it could be that its not enabled yet.

Anyway keep up the good work!! I might try out one of these new games you listed.

Hmmmmm ScummVM 2026 2.0 and Ultima 8 are working on my MorphOS system .. the Engine should be supported afaik.
Some footage..

I was told TinyGL (for MorphOS) fully relies on Hardware acceleration.

@all
Thank you all for the kind words regarding our Mirari project. At the moment as most of you know there are boards with the ExecSG guys to work on the kernel. For now this has some delays due to (e5500 - X5000) multicore stuff they are working on. We will wait and see when there is progress to be mentioned. Besides that MorphOS developments are going strong. NVMe drivers have been optimized and Harald has created the onboard audio drivers with 192Khz recording functionality. Frank Mariak did the Qoriq onboard network driver next to all his hard work to optimize MorphOS 3.20 for running on the Mirari. I try to update the blog https://mirari.vitasys.nl/the-first-rebirth/ as much as possible.

@smf

The author of the NVME and HDA Audio driver Harald ΅geennaam" Kanning removed his drivers due to a perceived violation of his non-commercial usage terms. As the driver was free to use for all, it just should not be used or distributed in a commercial way.

So every system sold with a soundblaster Audigy FX for example should not be able to produce sound..since there is not driver available for it. If it came with a driver... we are back at the root cause of why it got removed in the first place.

Anyway.. the NVME and HDA audio driver will be part of the new Enhancer software i was told.

Those prices make no sense.. 200+ each is more realistic for this.
See them at Mouser for 225,-- atm.

@noXLar

CPU power will be around 75% of the X5000/20.
If you would measure Mhz wise..its almost the same in speed.
The most Mirari users at the moment are runnin the 1400Mhz at 1600Mhz

Price, we still target between 500 - 600 euros..

As being one of these linux nerds as well i have used a cheap ASmedia Sata controller (PCIeX1) with linux in my X5000 for a long time as well.

Well i do think we can we can create tickets at NXP if needed. On the other hand, asking support for a 21 year old SIL3132 chipset based budget controller might not be something they see as a high priority issue.. but again if needed we can always try.

@joerg

I agree, and i might order one of these cards to give it a try.
As we use a way newer Uboot version compared to the X5K machines it would still be unclear where the problem lies regarding the X5K`s .. Anwyay i would agree that testing as much hardware as possible will always benefit!

We might need to give such a card a try in the Mirari. I have never tested this.
