Because a hardware error cause the database to overwrite itself. We had backups of the database, but since it was fubared anyway, it was decided to do something new, upgrade the software packages we used before (it was impossible to do a clean restore on a completely new system, it would refuse the input files). That's why.

The web shop will take longer to complete as it has to be re-done from the ground up, however, one shouldn't mistake that for lack of work. We're currently involved in a number of software projects, some of which can be considered high-profile.

The only one released so far would be AmiFTP, but that you already knew. When the time is right (meaning when we're satisfied about functionality and stability), the others will be released as well. Rest assured, there are no plans to shut down.

Cards adhering to the PRISM standard are supported in both linux and OS4. For a list of OS4 cards (and they will more than likely be supported in linux too) you could search os4depot for "prism" and check the readme or archive for specific cards/models.

If you say something without substance.. atleast if you are in a position to say something with substance.. there is often a backlash involved. Some will strike back, demand or suggest staying quiet, unless there is substance. However, if you adhere to that policy to not saying anything until there is substance to what you say, you will hear demands or requests for news, updates, anything.

It strikes me, with this in mind, that it is very hard to adhere to a strict policy regarding information. Well then, over to the small bits of information that I do currently have. Due to circumstances beyond my control, development has been very slow. Too slow for my taste, and that is why we're in the process of moving the work away from the previous developer to a new one. This because free time is no longer what it once was, and a new developer will increase the amount of time that we're able to spend on this, helping us finish the last bits of this project. This in turn will add some delays - one has to familiarize oneself with the code and how it works, before any real progress can be made.

That is where we currently stand, and that is also why there has been no significant news on the matter.

To answer some of the questions I read earlier in the thread : I'm afraid there is nothing you can do to help. No pre-orders, pre-payment, donations or anything else will speed this up. It will have to take the time it takes.

I'm confident that we are in a position to make good progress.
