@BillE
Well, both PhotoRec and TestDisk are open source, so someone with enough skills should be able to compile them for OS4.
It recovers files from FAT, NTFS, ext2/3/4 or HFS+, so it should be enough for your card.
Even if you don't have a PC, borrow one and try PhotoRec, at this moment I don't think there's anything on Amiga to recover files from FAT partitions.
Edit: I have just seen your wife has a Mac: there's a version of PhotoRec for Mac.

Ferrán.

I was also looking at CD-Burner by a DVD-Burner so can anyone here with a DVD burner post its experience. I was looking at a LG one in the store yesterday but I'm not sure what the reference is, has anyone had any bad experience with LG drives (on A1 mainly, but other experience are interesting too) ?
Yes, me: I wouldn't touch any LG optical drive with a barg pole. Bad experiences both on Amiga and PC, things like units not being recognized, or only some disks being read. I prefer much more any Nec drive (now Optiarc) than LG ones. In fact, I've been using Nec DVD+RW and DVD-ROM drives for years without a single problem. Saluditos, Ferr?n.

Agreed. Solid script, with action and effects adapted to it, and not the other way round. I hate movies where special effects are there just for the sake of it, ignoring the script, just to show us, poor audience, how skilled the effects creator is. Bah... Again, recommended movie, this one. Saluditos, Ferr?n.

Thanks a lot for your offering!
As far as i know, OSes only run clients, servers are run on the printer side of the equation. CUPS, the printing system for Linux, includes a client, and the examples provided by Ami603 are clients or libraries to deal with servers.

Yes, that's exactly what I was looking for, an ipp equivalent to lpr.device.

I know there's a lpr.device that can be used to do net printing, but I have an USRobotics MaxG router+print server that is not LPR compatible, but it uses IPP ( Internet Printing Protocol) instead. Is there any IPP-capable driver for the Amiga? Saluditos, Ferr?n.

Using Cowon M5 20GB and Cowon D2 8GB, both are recognized by my A1 without problems, so I-d say any Cowon player would be a sure bet.

@COBRA So now that there's no Moovid development, therefore no rivality, time to include MOV format to DVPlayer? Please? Por favor? S'il vous pla?t? Bitte? Per favore? Many digital cameras use that format, it would be fantastic to be able to play it in DVPlayer. Saluditos, Ferr?n. PS: Did I say 'please'?

Even if SFSCHeck finds anything, it will not be able to repair it, being to only available solution to copy the data from the problematic partition to a different one and refformating.

@Atheist
Well, my current uptime is more than 20 hours, my system is
A1-XE, G4@933MHz, 1GB RAM
and using it right now with IBrowse, PageStream, ImageFX, DOpus, Yam and some other progs at the same time. Rock solid, I'd say.
BTW, I have 2x512MB DIMM stick and they work quite well, even if they won't pass memtester (I simply don't trust it), while in real use test, like copying many files over and over from HD to RAM and checking its MD5sum won't bring a single problem in HOURS! Oh, and my AOne has been on 24/7 for 3 years now... ;?) And yes, I use it as a file server.

@Outcast
Citroen and Peugeot belong to the same group, PSA, and they share many components, but I don't really know if what you say is true. The reason I bought that car is because its design is different, at least to me, from the rest of cars. Lately, all the cars of the same segment look all the same, with a rounded rear: Ford Focus, Kia Cee'd, Seat Leon, Fiat Bravo, Peugeot 307, Volkswagen Golf... all look very alike to me and I've never liked that rounded rear that all those have, that's why I chose this one, its rear is more... sharp. I don't even like the other version of the C4, the 5-doors one, with the rounded rear. C4 Coup? looks more like an arrow or a bullet, the rest of cars look like a drop.
My other option was the new Honda Civic, looks really cool and aggressive, but back then when I bought my car it had been just introduced to the market and it was really much more expensive than the C4.
Saluditos,
Ferr?n.
