This is great!

No, this is fantastic!

I have Amiga Forever and it is a polished, professional package.

Who knows how many countless people who have browsed by Amiga.com in the past would have bought this package. I expect they will be selling many thousands of these now.

Good news for Cloanto - they sell more AF.

Good news for Amiga Inc - they get income from Kickstart and workbench.

Good news for us because it shows that Amiga Inc are taking some sensible decisions, these days.

I have learned a great deal from this thread.

Am I right in summing up that Panda is our best hope from Troika.

Panda is more high end than Amy or Samantha.

Troika will need to get a license by themselves or possibly strike a deal with Eyetech.

Is this a fair summary?

Sorry - I just thought they were funny faces - I didn't think for a second they actually meant anything!

My eyes are not so good and they (the faces) are verysmall, esp on my old screen.

Interesting.

So it looks like the Panda could be an AmigaOne v2.0

Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I would like to see this card in a 'Big' Box and the Samamtha in a box like an A600 or A500. This would really give us a good choice of systems and we would all probably end up owning both anyway!

Was there any news on whether the OS4 people (Hyperion?) got a Panda board?

I'm still confused.

I went to the Troika World Wide Web site and found some information on something called Amy.

Yet your link is about a card called Pandy - it's not like any card I've ever seen before. What has this got to do with AmigaNG and if so, are Amiga Inc going to license it?

The last Amiga magazine I ever subscribed to was called AmigaActive from England.

It was a very good magazine as were all the English magazines - the only Amiga magazines left, just about.

Unfortunately it went a bit queer, over night, and turned itself from an Amiga magazine into a Digital Equipment Corporation magazine, featuring scantily clad underage girls.

Not surprisingly it then finished completely after a few more months.

Not just fun. I followed a link to their manufacturing World Wide Web site in Italy - it looks like a very professional outfit. I hope the announcements that the OS4 port is ready and the license from Amiga Inc all happen on the same day they announce shipping schedules.
