Thank you guys. We have read installation manual [X1000 Quickstart guide] and found that HD and CDs needs to be connected to certain places on board! Finally installation of OS4 started and now it is done :)

Currently it is booting via CF Card, I suppose we will fix CF menu soon. Thank you very much for your help!

I have just received x1000 from Vox and we have swapped registered numbers of AmigaOS @ Hyp main website, but I have no posting rights in x1000 section [!?] so I am posting here.

Problem is:

- We have exchanged the hardware DVD inside X1000. It is properly connected. But it seems that CFE has given it different ID [example atapi 0.1].

I would need a little help to read from CFE - what is the new DVD no and to change Menu Options 1: AmigaOS Install CD Boot and 3: Linux Install CDBoot. They return that they can't load IDE 0.0:amigaboot.of (Error: -18) for AmigaOS and Linux CDBoot [command status = -6].

Please help me as soon as possible as I need to reinstall AmigaOS and Linux... I can`t wait to try OS4 and Linux on X1000.

* My frst album ever released on ex Yugoslavia [tape only] happened in 1993 with some of the songs from this list. It was called "Teknoactive", cover design was done by Svet Kompjutera and was released by TIOLI [Take It Or Leave It].

* All songs were re-filtered through Željko Joksimović's studio and had 8 channels with reverb, compressor, equalizers and some other filters. It was done for better quality sound of Teknoactive tape. This uploaded mix was only raw 4 channel versions sampled directly from Protracker / Amiga.

I have several good [looking & sounding] girls but they are all on vacation. In the mean time - I used this virtual girl :) he he. Seems like nobody noticed.

Well - I am planing to create ~10 different booting sounds [all played on my favorite Renoise tracker], all with and without speech.

Also if u have cool sounding [Alien-Breed or Aliens-like] female voice ["Attention... T-30 seconds and encounting..."]... then send it to me & I will include it.

My idea is to create [somebody?] a script that will boot each time different sound from set / playlist or samples from directory] so it won`t be boring.

I have to say that I was shocked to hear official Amiga booting sound is MONO!? I spent several hours triplechecking my soundcard, drivers, ahi... and then finally realized that Hyp chose mono sound... Damn.

At least I will create you stereo sounds ;)

Here comes my 1st booting sound in WAV format... Its standard 16bit STEREO wave file.

This is just test phase [done in Renoise very quickly].

Please test it and let me know how it sounds and will all Amigas play it.

On my SAM it appears that it plays on small interruptions [I guess it loads sample and plays it on the same time and CPU is 200%] :)

I plan to create around 10-15 booting sounds in different styles, but I prefer AlienBreed / Aliens style ;)

Why bother with esc key when you can set closing windows on CTRL + Esc like I set it up on my still working Amiga in Dopus Magellan. Esc for closing only is not very useable for me as it can close acidently something I don't want...
