@MamePPCA1
Don't know about DOSBOX, not tried it
But under DOS 6.22 you need MSCDEX.EXE in your C:\DOS\ <dir> and also a CDROM driver in C:\DOS\
Edit your Autoexec.bat file add add the line
C:\DOS\MSCDEX.EXE /D:MSCD001 /L:E
Edit you config.sys file and add the line
DEVICE=C:\DOS\CDROMDRIVER.SYS /D:MSCD001
A common DOS CDROM driver was the OAK one (OAKCDROM.SYS)
Thats how it would work under 'real' MS DOS you'll have to experiment with dosbox.
-edit-
Just read the rest of thread, after your last post, looks like dosbox will do it for you then, but the above is useful if your have pctask4.4 and want to install win3.1 from CD.
With PCTask use the following in your config.sys
DEVICE=C:\DOS\PCTCDROM.SYS /D:sii0680ide.device,1 **
(** replace with your device and unit)

I emailed the author some time ago. He's not interested in fixing it or doing an OS4 version.

@twizzle
I did get your email. However I've been away on a training course in york.
In addition to your Work partition, create two boot partitions using the CD and Floppydisc. Make them both bootable using the l:fastfilesystem of the CD. Eg: DH0 and HD0
Give one a higher boot priority in mediatoolbox, eg:
DH0: bootpri 2 or HD0: bootpri 3
Install OS4 on HD0.
You will boot into OS4 by default.
install 3.5 on the other partition, you might need to install 3.1 and a CDROM driver first.
Now its up to you which partition you wish to boot into by either setting boot priority in media toolbox or using the early start up screen.
As 3.5 and 3.9 require a reboot usually, it simpler to set 3.5 as your default OS and use ESS for OS4.0, unless you want to get into scripting to move assigns around.
You'll probably need to add a line to your OS4 kicklayoutfile to force OS4 to boot from its partition if it has a lower boot pri than 3.5

@Snuffy
I've had to switch my Harddisc files partition back from JXFS to SFS. AF2006 loads under E-UAE when its HD files are on a JXFS partition but datatypes under E-UAE don't work, moving it back over to an SFS partition worked here.

I have an issue where by no text is visable in owb. I've just reinstalled OS4.1 (boot from CD full install not upgrade) and the problem is present with OWB in sys:utilities and the 2.9 archive. Could this be a font problem ?

@Swoop Try repartitioning it again on the laptop using swissknife Its free and available here. http://www.compuapps.com/download/Swissknife/swissknife.htmThis should allow you to have one large fat32 partition on your external drive. Then give it a whirl.

@Antique
I only get the DSI on my classic not on my A1 If you want a crashlog I have one. I've created a .torrent profile in def_icons and a def_torrent icon. Is it possible to get ctorrent to open the torrent this way rather than opening a file requester ?
Edit
I've noticed thats its not possible to drag icons out of windows while ctorrent is running,well not easily anyway. you can drag them for about a second before the mousepointer freezes for an instant and the the icon your dragging is released back to its originating drawer.

@Antique
Launch Make CD
Click ADD in the main window.
Click the Down Arrow under Sources in the track options window.
You should now be in the sources window
Give the CD a Volume Name.
Drag n drop you mp3's / mp3 folders into the sources area
-edit- it might be a good idea to arrange your mp3's in a folder first then just drop the folder over. The contents of the folder will be the root dir on the CD.
Click OK when done
Click OK in track sources
Back to the main window and click write tracks.
This will make a Data CD with MP3 on for car stereos that can play mp3's
If you want to convert mp3s to an audio CD
drag n drop your mp3s into the main make cd window when you get up to ~74mins click write tracks, you'll need mpega.library for the conversion.

I think the following should work.
Copy your OS4 CD to a directory, copy over the components from the update, making sure all occurances of the older components are updated.
Then use AmiDVD to burn it to CD, making it bootable.

@agafaster
add a1floppy.device as a module in your kicklayout file
then add
C:FDTool >nil: unit 0 auto
to your startup-sequence, got mine after usbctrl start
will enable disk checking.
finally add PC0 and or FD0 to devs:dosdrivers

I Agree with what Rudei says. Low end 040 models with a decent amount of ram fetch ?200 - ?250 on ebay
A cyberstorm ppc went for almost ?600 recently.
There is a A1200 with blizzppc mediator etc up for 2200 Euros over on the amigaworld classified.
Based on what people are asking / getting for those price it accordingly.

I think if you choose to pay by paypal, then when the paypal login page comes up, just pay using your visa instead of logging in.

try adding the following line into your sys:kickstart/kicklayout configuration file:-
MODULE Kickstart/ATAPIismajik
and if you have problems with df0: not being recognised

@orgin
E-UAE is slow on the PS3 under yellowdog 6 too.
I copied over my AF2006 p96 setup from my A1 to my PS3 then created a linux flavoured .uaerc file of the same one i use under OS4 The PS3 on face value performs slower than A1XE with OS4. Thats just by watching a few demos like shaft7 etc. Admittedly I've not tried to tweaking any yellowdog or E-UAE settings yet. I don't think i'll try amikit just yet.
