@LiveForIt Yes, i read about that the other day, but there must be a reason for not inlcuding it into the final release. I'm not that bad in need of AmigaInput right now, so i can wait Thanks for the reminder

@Rigo
I was about to question my memory.
I thought i had seen such a device. I'll wait for it and an upcoming AmigaInput update to be reimplemented, then.
Thank you

USBScanner.device?

How do i get an USB scanner to work?
I have BetaScan installed, but somehow my glasses are foggy or i'm just getting plain old, cause i don't seem to find an USBScanner.device.
Is it there somewhere? Or do i have to take the A1serial/A1parallel.device road?
Scanner is recognized by the USB stack (Microtek ScanMaker 4800) and there is an old Scanner driver in the BetaScan package, though i haven't been able to test it yet (lack of serial/parallel cable) and lack of a "Scan Now" button on the scanner.
Any hints appreciated.
Thank you

@Aldur
If it was secured you can charge the bast*** for the case and (hopefully not) for the damaged mobo.

@gofromiel I hate the post offices that get away with such rude methods... If not even the fan on the cpu spins, than the mainboard has no power. Check: 1. If the PSU is switched on (obviously) on the back of your case 2. If the power cable from the PSU to the mobo is dislocated, check if wires are broken 3. Try to replace the PSU with some other brand if nothing helps @Aldur Not that i want to put you down, i mean, one learns from his faults, but IF you send out a case, make sure all loose parts are packed solely with MUCH stuf around it and tape it to the bottom of the case, so, they can't (as in this sad case) fly around and damage the mobo. Well, i hope it is just some wires came loose P.S: Welcome to Amigans.net, gofromiel

1 + 2: See above post
3: Raising AWeb's stack didn't change a thing
4: Done and it happened again, completely the same crash message appeared unfortunately

@Outcast
Seems we may have found a bug, now for the specification
AWeb? TuneNet? BSDSocket.lib?
Here's a fresh one from a few minutes ago:
Symbol info: Instruction pointer 0x7FD2853C belongs to module "bsdsocket.library" (HUNK/Kickstart)

@Rudei
Got a PM from ZeroG with a crashlog stating bsdsocket.library crashed.
That is exactly (well, mostly) the same crashlog i get, so IF your bsdsocket.lib is the one crashing for you, too, we may have a definite case of a bug here...
@bean You listening? It's still AWeb that's crashing but maybe you give me a hint, so i can point Andy (Broad) in the right direction?
Thank you
This is my stack trace part: Stack trace: module LIBS:bsdsocket.library at 0x7FD2853C (section 5 @ 0xF51C) module LIBS:bsdsocket.library at 0x7FD4BF80 (section 5 @ 0x32F60) AWeb:amitcp_socket()+0x1C (section 1 @ 0xe05c) AWeb:Httpretrieve()+0x144 (section 1 @ 0x5d21c) AWeb:Httptask()+0x25C (section 1 @ 0x5e56c) AWeb:Subtask()+0x118 (section 1 @ 0x91ce4) native kernel module dos.library.kmod+0x0001dfdc
and this is ZeroG's: Stack trace: module LIBS:bsdsocket.library at 0x7FD6253C (section 5 @ 0xF51C) module LIBS:bsdsocket.library at 0x7FD85F80 (section 5 @ 0x32F60) AWeb:amitcp_socket()+0x1C (section 1 @ 0xe46c) AWeb:Httptask()+0x550 (section 1 @ 0x5d908) AWeb:Subtask()+0x118 (section 1 @ 0x918f8) native kernel module dos.library.kmod+0x0001dfdc

...but with all these new connectivity, who will write the the drivers and/or UBoot/Firmware updates?

@Snuffy Tbh i'd even throw money in a bounty if it were clear how much would be needed, and if it were "secured" that we actually get it, to "buy back" OS4. Don't ask me how much, i think i'd go crazy on this
