@broadblues

thank you.

Perhaps could be possible to tweak a little mplayer to redirect it's aoutput to a specific screen/window?

The play of the clip can be invoked through a shell command.

@trixie

Thank you for the informations.

Tried libxml2 under mingw, but it crashes as soon an libxml2-2.dll is accessed.

Going to try libroxml.

Hello everyone,

looking for an advice.

Best easy to use xml library for c/c++ suitable for OS4 too?
The xml library should be suitable for mingw and compatible with AmigaOS too.

I tried libxml2, but it's a pain to make it work on mingw.

There still a few issues. Michael fixed yesterday MUI version.
Meanwhile a new issue popped out on SDL2 version (selecting a zipped rom cause a crash).

Moreover settings are not saved entirely, but partially.

Found the reson of vice slowness: Resid. Using fastsid with certain setting Vice is working now very nicely, both sound and graphics. So i guess that the port i've done of the version 3.0 worked the same way

There is an issue with sdl2 compositing: a black line appear on the left, but can easily fixed by resizing vice window.
There are some freeze here and there.

Thank you again to Michael T. for the enormous work he have done.

A little update.

SDL2 slowness was do to the program that was using software rendering. Passign parameter -SDL2renderer=compositing is more fast.

The lord of configure, aka MICKJT, () is smashing some bugs on the MUI version.

Some progress has made for the port of vice 3.1 to AmigaOS4.x

Thanks to the allmighty Michael T. (that have done most of the work), we have now Vice 3.1, both SDL2 and MUI version.

Still work to do, especially on SDL2 side that is slow (maybe capehill can investigate on this).

Thank you again to Michael T. (lord of the configure and compiler)

@stonecracker

post #1 from stonecracker:

export PATH=$PATH:~/adtools/bin:/usr/local/amiga/adtools/bin

DStastny @ post #6

export PATH=$PATH:~/adtools/bin:/usr/local/amiga/adtools-ppc-uwin-20170623-404/bin
(which in my case should be: export PATH=$PATH:~/adtools/bin:/usr/local/amiga/adtools-ppc-uwin64-20170623-404/bin)

In my now working installation i have only this in bashrc:

export PATH=$PATH:~/adtools/bin:/usr/local/amiga/adtools-ppc-uwin64-20170623-404/bin

@MickJT

I big thank you to Michael, really.

Realized at least that installation worked. The problem, as Michael said, was related to permission.

Michael is a Guru (that meditates) on everything related configurations, libraries and so on...

Thank you again

@broadblues

Sorry, i mean: sudo ln -s /usr/local/amiga/adtools-ppc-uwin64-20170623-404 /usr/local/amiga/adtools

The compile line is the: make -C native-build gcc-cross CROSS_PREFIX=/usr/local/amiga/adtools-ppc-uwin64-20170623-404

Can't post the exact error , i uninstalled the enviroment...

but i think i can replicate it.

Thank you all

@broadblues

I tried this the way you've suggested:

Quote:
sudo mkdir /usr/local/amiga sudo ln -s /usr/local/amiga/adtools-ppc-uwin64-20170623-404 /usr/local/amiga/adtools sudo chown <your-uwin-username>:users /usr/local/amiga sudo chown <your-uwin-username>:users /usr/local/amiga/adtools

In this case compilation line fails.

If i first create the directories and then i issue the command: ln -s /usr/local/amiga/adtools-ppc-uwin64-20170623-404 /usr/local/amiga

the compilation goes OK, but the wrong compiler is picked.
