Good idea. Quite a few of them can be found on the underutilized amifund website. Afxgroup has also been involved in a number of porting efforts and I still have Amishots running in the background. Which reminds me, I never got round to trying out LinCity NG. I also like the look of Rigo's IDE for C/C++. Hans

Welcome. One question though, what exactly does the board in the middle that connects to the side of the A1000 and a PCI slot on the PC do?

This has nothing to do with money and never did. Feelings have been hurt and you can't rationalize feelings.
To turn it around, why must we suffer with endless threads and pointless petitions when all that is required is a simple apology from the offender?
Because that would require the offender to own up to his/her actions. That is out of our control. The best thing that we can do is let Ralph know that we do not approve of this pirate's actions and would like to buy the book. Hans

I think that is too much work to do (the ARexx port) only for my personnal use. I cannot ask for that to WookieChat author.
I highly doubt that you are the only one using AmIRC's AREXX port. If WookieChat has an AREXX port (which it already does), others will use it too. Hans

AMIRC?
Use wookiechat!!
Hardly Rocket science
I've discussed this issue with him previously over on AW.net. The problem is that he's running a series of AREXX scripts that use the AmIRC AREXX port. Therefore, he can't use WookieChat at present. I suggested that he ask jahc if he would kindly make WookieChat's AREXX port compatible to AmIRC's. Hopefully progress is being made. Hans

What else will be in the next update?
Bug fixes and new features. Sorry, but as someone who's not a beta tester, that's the only answer I can give that I know to be true. Mind you, if I were bet tester, that's probably all that I'd be allowed to say. Good to hear that DVI support is finally there, although my current monitor doesn't support it. Hans

OS4Depot does not allow version names in filenames. When there's different versions of the same software and both needs to be on the site there's usually an extension to the filename, such as "_gpl", in this case.
That works fine too. Hans

@spotUP
Maybe version 2.5 could be added in a separate archive e.g., aggv2.5.lha, for those that need v2.5. A warning about the license should also be added since GPL means that you cannot use it in closed-source program.

@Antique
You need to replace the AGG header and lib files in the SDK with the new ones. Use the Find tool to search for the AGG header and lib files in SDK:.
IMPROTANT: If there is a clib2 and a newlib version of any of the files (it will be in a clib or newlib subdirectory), make sure that you place your lib files in the appropriate directory. This will depend on whether you are using clib2 or newlib.

Check the guide that came with WarpOSEmu, it contains instructions specific to certain games. I found that Wipeout would only work if I had the CD in the first CDROM drive (I have two CD/DVD drives). Otherwise disable the CD audio in Wipeout settings. Also, make sure that AHI audio is enabled.

@Mikey_C I can't seem to reply in the poll. So: Quote: Be honest here, do you think Bill McEwen & Co. would recognise what Amiga OS4 looks like even if they shoved it under his nose?
That depends on if they ever visit their own company's website. OS4 screenshots are still in the bottom left-hand corner of the home page. Hans

Posting the writeup here would be a good start, but I'd suggest submitting it as an article on utilitybase as well. That's a site devoted to Amiga developers.

But wouldn't they want to i.e. spread their software to platforms they themself won't/can't support.
Maybe it would be a nice idea to kindly ask if they'd license a player for say the Amiga derivates out there, so one could get cracking with the real dev docs and without being flamed on other Amiga platforms...
...and if Adobe wants money for the license, we could start a bounty (if the demand is inside some boundaries)?
Brainstorming...
Maybe make it a lib (i think all Amiga "clones" can use libs?)
That's not even necessary anymore as Adobe have just opened up the spec completely. They've removed the restrictions and anyone can download the documents. Finding an Amiga developer with time to spare is going to be difficult though. Hans

We have been talking SMP for a while,
And it's clear to me that no AmigaOS4.0 program can be supported by exec whit smp support, the only possibility is to emulate older programs, and if so then 68k emulation might be included in OS4.0 emulation.
I think that you could design an SMP system that supported existing OS 4.0 software, but it would suck. Every time a program called forbid(), all cores would have to be stopped, killing performance. It would be much better if they did it properly. Hans

@AmigaBlitter
It's likely that there will be some sort of sandboxed environment for legacy apps. Seeing as OS 4.0 already has a 68k JIT emulator, I see no reason to suddenly remove it.
I hope that the sandbox and compatibility break is high on the priority list (but below the new graphics system).
