A little column maybe, but it is read by almost 12,000 people so may spark memories of ages past, if only in a small percentage. who may remember "When Computing was Fun"

Btw. What do you mean with the word "alt" ? You use it a lot but I don't understand what do you mean usually with it ?

Maybe he means, etc = Et cetera (in English contexts pronounced /ɛt ˈsɛtərə/) is a Latin expression that means "and other things",
Or et al. (an abbreviation of et alii, meaning "and others")

or even alt as Alternative.

and of course he may mean something totally different

And Back to Elwoods post, I can understand where he's coming from, but as people start to learn to code/port they want"easy" examples to start with.
They need to start slowly and build up confidence, Jumping into a massive project with all sorts of potential problems would most probably dishearten them and maybe drive them away from coding for ever.

@Elwood

It was a Set of 3 tutorial Videos for using ImageFX

To Quote From Legacymaker Inc website (the old Publishers)
Catalyzer for ImageFX is a project-based approach to learning how to create professional-looking effects with one of the Amiga's most powerful tools.
Catalyzer for ImageFX, hosted by one of the world's foremost experts on ImageFX, will show you how to put your Amiga to work creating top-quality effects using ImageFX's powerful modes and modules. Bohus Blahut, so respected for his ImageFX savvy that Nova Design hired him to create their new ImageFX videotape, will be your guide as you explore the limits of ImageFX's capabilities.
? Powerful region effects
? Cool text tricks
? Animated warp and swirl
? Animated lightning!
? Support floppy disk included!
ImageFX is the engine.
Your Amiga's tank is full of gas.
This video is the Catalyzer.

and from Kermit
Kermit Woodall, VP of Nova Design, says Catalyzer is "An amazing tutorial video for ImageFX! It taught me things I didn't know about our own software!"

Also, none of them are truly OS4 native.

Photogenics and PPaint work nicely* under emulation.
GIMP is native but needs AmiCygnix.

* Actually Photogenics is horribly unstable, but if you save regulary and are prepared to reboot, it works nicely

Chris I actually find Photogenics pretty stable, the odd DSI on start up, but I also get that with other OS4 specific software
What version are you running?

But as for a new graphics program, the more the merrier
