@spotUP
Why does SDL sounds work fine in SDLBasic? Is it the use of a different library or interface?

Hi @Raziel Actually it's i.69 from previous thread & #46 : @All It turned out that I jinxed it by saying I was going to have it ready last week. I discovered a bug, but I haven't been able to fix it yet. However, even with the bug, the latest version is still rather stable (more so than older versions). I will therefore try to upload an intermediate version as soon as possible for people to try. I will appreciate all feedback for this version, so that when I kill the big bug, I also will have removed all the eventual small pesky ones . Ill post updates in this forum
4) I tried to change the color of the bleach white background and can't. White is too noisy and hurts my eyes.

Hi @abalaban
Can I safely try to source a supported VGA card or will I eventually find after having one that it fails on something else ? UBoot ROM starts up the VGA card. If it doesn't remove the ROM chip carefully with extractor and spray clean socket and wires with a good electrical cleaner that doesn't leave any residue. Put the chip back in carefully. I've been here and it and it works! Ask Noel Fuller if it works?

Hi @Raziel ...OO is a beast. HJF ruled out Java in his interview, but OO qualifies for MAP. What do you think? It's hard to 'nail' the MAP to the wall. The only clue I picked up on what something wanted for the Amiga platform for a long time...

Hi @nbache
I hope you have considered Facebook's insane rules of ownership (as in their ownership) of any and all material posted there? I get kick out of the 'MyLife' weasels. If someone does a search on FB for your name, ML wants to sell you the results. Wow, how's that for pandering to the ego?! If AmiDARK want's a lot of public light shinning down on it, then FB is the place. The trouble is you get pestered a lot going around there. Umm, personal privacy is not a high priority around there. That's just my observations. So, the downside to FB would anyone from here show up to visit the group? I wouldn't go to FB.

Hi @nubechecorre ...update should give you better performance and not worst .. am i wrong ?Kind of... http://www.libsdl.org/ Simple DirectMedia Layer is a cross-platform multimedia library designed to provide low level access to audio, keyboard, mouse, joystick, 3D hardware via OpenGL, and 2D video framebuffer.
SDLBasic taps this for it's functioning. A native basic program would solve this! But, of course I'm day dreaming about that. Anyway, the update has nothing to with SDL and made the executions list longer. Since this was all at the 32 bit screenmode, I find that switching 16 bit mode a better environment. Gak... You know you just reminded me of check the 'SObjs' libraries. SDL has library and I bet it's not Peter Gordon's latest update. Off to do that....

@kas1e ...why it happenes, and how avoid this ?... Or it 's just because of Os4 core itself ? Yes, core. The API was updated, if you didn't know: Intuition Improved window support, fading and rendering - including drop shadows. Reduced video memory consumption due to improved screen handling. New internal methods for better system "theme" support. (Hyperion) Why don't you ask the "kernel guy" ? The window system has slowed down my favorite hangout -- SDLBasic. My poker project graphics slowed down a lot because of it; it's not snappy like it was before Update1, but it's workable.

@mz3540 Today in my boredom... Really, it's such a huge world? I was just interested in what you guys think of the A1000? I have one too, but haven't used it since the Bulletin Board Systems closed and Fido Net wasn't the place to be anymore around Y2K. Right? You need to read Amiga Future Magazine, man! I'm treading through #81 and it's really nice. In fact it has an article called "GB 1000 - Be Part of the Saga". It's about Georg Braun's dream of the A1000. Awesome! Eat you heart-out 'Frakenthousand'! My A1/1000/1200. http://www.flickr.com/photos/11367727@N07/2716912145/

Hi @abalaban
Can it be due to the fact ClickToFront is now activated by default ? No, it's not default. It's setup for use by Sys:Prefs/WBStartup. There's no law says you have to use it.

Hi @orgin #3
... It's a system for standard gadget icons created by Mason. It contains hundreds of images.
What is this? When I warm reset os4.1update1, I get a glimpse of what looks like a tool bar with graphic buttons and icons in center of the reboot screen and woosh it's gone. I ask because AISS was installed on the Update 1, but not sure of what to expect.

Hi @broadblues
'Pop-up Menus' is all 'ghosted out'. This nice function of CM is disabled in 'SilverGreen' for some reason. Gak, I hate using 'drop downs'! CM works fine with other themes.

Hi @Raziel
Doesn't work with 52.3 from 4.1 either. Seems to be a bug introduced a long time before ... Umm, I noticed CM acts strange when using 'SilverGreen' theme, but otherwise normal with my other themes. Is this theme having any influence with ContextMenus?

@JosDuchIt
Have tried to verify how boot priorities were set; You're waisting your time. There's a wrong mask value in UBoot that reads the CDROM wrong. The work-around is make CDROM the first boot device. That's why you're having boot problems.
Edit: I seemed to missed this thread earlier!

@JosDuchIt
The 'boot' icon is there, so why don't i observe the system booting from CD but again from my HD ?
Your Sys:Prefs/UBoot config. file is set wrong! You want the CDROM to be the "first" boot device and the HD the "second" boot device. Can you do this from OS4.1 WB? Make the changes and SAVE then try machine cold boot-up with the install CD.

Anybody experience with Amidvd bootcd's? Yep, this is the easiest of the three...
Install fresh CD-RW or CD-r. go to >Create Image tab: 1) Set Image file = name/location of .ISO 2) Set 'bootable' = AmigaOS4. 3) Leave volume name blank. go to >Burn Image tab: 1) Is drive showing your CDROM device? 2) Click Burn CD RW When "Ready" is displayed then eject CD and inject it back in drive. Does the new CD icon display a 'BoingDisk' on the WB? If it does then the disk is good!
Is that easy or what...

Hi @yoodoo2
...3rd party apps may need to be fixed. It was 'de-classified'! It's no longer in Sys:Classes. It's not an OS function, rather a 'preset'! Just change the 'assignment' to it's new location. That's an easy fix...
