I installed X11+Updates with no trouble... Then I installed AbiWord, No problem... It's just that every time I launch it, I have a Guru visiting me instead of a Word Processor. So unless that's a new Word Processor Interface () I might have to give it another go, maybe this weekend...

Since I upgraded my A1XE to AOS4_Final around Christmas, my Samba installation didn't work anymore as expected...

The Amiga could see the 2 Wintel machines, but the Wintel Machines got an "Access is denied" or similar error message while trying to browse the Amiga !

Then yesterday, after reinstalling the whole system due to a corrupted HDD (see previous Threads), I decided to reinstall completly Samba... But this time using a different guide !

So a BIG Thanks to Reaps for his very well explained guide, now everything works great, and the Wintel Machines can browse the Amiga without any problem !

Sorted... I reconnected the CDROM Drive and I was able to boot from it. Format the previous HD0:, reload the new slb and carry on the install.

Now I just need to reinstall a few things... And I'm going away today !

As per my other thread... I just finished installing AOS4Final... In fact the version I installed was Update 4... :oops now the KVM is working fine !

I just need to reinstall a few things (like Samba)

This morning I let it boot for 20 minutes ! And the CDRom Light was not flashing anymore though I could eject the CD...

I downloaded it, burn it to a CD-R (NOT CDRW) using Nero Burning Room... And boot it on the A1...

After the UBoot screens... The whole screen went black !
Rebooted a few times, but the same results occurred !

I don't need to boot it from HDD first, do I ?
