@jaokim
I was wondering if it was AmiDock trying to start up as my AmiDock is rather large and ENV:ringhio.appsprefs.xml is still very small.

I looked with text editor into ringhi binary and found "C:echo %s NOLINE >Ram:tmp.txt" that might provide a clue.
Jack, Have you found a solution to this problem yet? I just updated DiskImage through AmiUpdate this moring, and now I'm getting this also when I reboot. Edit: Ok, I found most of the solution to my problem here: http://www.amigans.net/modules/newbb/ ... t_id=45276#forumpost45276But in my case I had already enabled the Splash Screen on Startup, so I disabled it, rebooted, enabled it, and rebooted back with no more error window.

Thanks for this release. It installed without any errors and didn't wipe out my WB3.1 dir. However, when I start it it gets to Timebase frequency and just hangs there. :-/

It should not be possible for that to happen, because it requires an empty folder before it will install Workbench3 for you. Can you please confirm what was in the the folder before installation, and what you saw after installation (as much details as possible).
There was a complete 3.9 installation in the folder, afterwards just the contents of the WB31 dir from the archive.

I hope for a release before next weekend. Cos then i won't have time to play with it. But they might just wait until the map is announced. Might be a smart thing to do,if the map is revealed soonish!
Well, they're announcing the Map right now in bits & pieces, and since on Jan. 3 the last known puzzle piece is dated for Jan. 5, I figure the update is going to be released sometime on Jan. 5/6. ;^)

@ChrisH Quote: ChrisH wrote: @nubechecorre You should be able to install over the top (I considered this while updating the Installer), and future installs over the top should be even easier (it now remembers all your install choices but still allows you to change them).
If you have had problems with HD installed games not starting, then please delete the OLD Workbench3.x folder, and let it create a new one.
I installed it over the top of the old installtion and it reported no errors, but when I went to run it I got just the shell window again. It appears it wiped out my WB3.x folder and I had to copy that over manually again in order to get it to work.

I'd say it is pretty much permanently... Quote: You say it still works. Does that mean you can click on RunInUAE in AmiDock, and Workbench 3.1 appears after a while?
