Kool that so many of you like my "hack" but so few had any trouble installing before! ;)

The reason of "setenv _INSTALL_HWACCEL 0" is that when you do a hack solution like this is to look further down the line.

Is there gonna be a problem later on?

example:
Mr.khayoz edit his ISO with "setenv _INSTALL_HWACCEL 1" and later gets a card that doesn't support hardware accelaration(unlikely but still possible), start whining on forums that installation doesn't work.. You get the picture!

I had the same problem when I added RadeonRX but I found a solution -

Open "AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition:Installation-Support/startprefs.bat"
and comment out the following lines:

;:Installation-Support/CheckHardwareCompose
;if $RC EQ 0

I guess the "CheckHardwareCompose" app gets confused/crash when booting with a RadeonRX card/driver.

Just a backplate with a serial header and a wire to a mb connector.

Bought the RadeonHD v5.14 driver today on Amistore as I promised to do to support Hans work on the driver.

I have been using a Radeon RX580 while waiting for the RadeonHD driver to show up on Amistore.

First impressions with ASUS R9 280X -

720 videos works, 1080 videos no way.

MiniGL apps work as they should.

Quake 2, insane framerate ;)

Less noise in the speakers with the ASUS R9 280X(No noise with old driver) compared to RX580!

Don't know what is going on with the ASUS RX580,
have an ESI Juli@ soundcard and they don't play well togheter,
tried both the PCI and PCIe(thanks Raziel) cards.
Sounds like the graphicscard isn't properly grounded.

Any clues?

Edit: Found my balanced cables, going to flip my Juli@ to balanced out TRS 1/4" and try with that combo and report back.

Yeah I'm gonna buy it once it is released as a digital download,
firstly to support Hans work on the driver and secondly to max
out my R9 280X before I upgrade to a RX card.

It's been 3 weeks since the the update of Enhancer 2.2,
isn't the usuall Amiga rule "2 more weeks"? ;)

Yeah, sorry for the hijack!

Alot is not working for me after ES2.2 update, Emotion dead, Spencer dead, Disk Image GUI crashes, Odyssey started acting weird, can't change screenmode properly.

Hopefully everything get back to what it was like when Radeon HD v.5 is downloadable.

why not release Radeon HD v.5 driver on AmiStore the same day as Enhancer Software 2.2?

It would cause less confusion!
