Thanks for your explanation.
But this is how I exactly installed it once: First downloaded the archive from Aminet and later copy all files from the OS4Depot version.
This it how it worked. And suddenly no longer.

And since I did the recommended font cache procedure, I can enter words in the search field but nothing happens...

Do you still know how exactly you installed Timberwolf....? Any special 'move'...?

PS:
I now deleted the timezone in MorphOS, set 'get time from Internet' and saved it.
As a little workaround...;)

PPS: In MorphOS there is not an option for summertime, as I have just seen...

Anyone who is also using AmigaOS and MorphOS on the X5000 has the same problem that if I set the clock in the one OS, then in the other OS the time goes wrong by two hours...?

Stupid question:
Some time ago I thought Timberwolf was running well on my X5000. But when I tested it yesterday it did freeze after some seconds.
Deleted folder, and did a frehs install, including setting up the suggested font cache.
Started again: Now it does not immediately freeze and I can e.g. enter a search string but after then nothing happens. The same if I enter an Internet address.
Question: Does anybody have Timberwolf running at all?

To me the summary is a little bit 'overcrowded'...Sometimes less is more...Concentrating on the top ten and then using clear colours.
But thanks for the survey which of course I also participated in. To me the most important applications are a up-to-date browser and an office program. Then I would use my X5000 even more often.

As I also stated there are some other issues if you are going to use IMAP...

Is there a big difference between your any my approach?
A bounty website - or something like that - do not have to be a one-way road. Users can request for posible developers for a project but of course developers / developer teams also can ask for help or financial support from the users / community.

Curiously enough I have had some similar thoughts during the last weeks. However, in a more common way. I think if we establish a seperate website or something like that then it should be open for at least AmigaOS4 and MorphOS because for both OS a proper/active bounty wesbite is missing.

I was thinking about the 'how' as e.g. I want to have the FreeRDP client (https://www.freerdp.com) ported to both OS.
Of course itcould be that the few developers do not have time to accept such offers or, when they have time, then better push their own projects further...
But who knows it? Maybe sometimes projects are not such heavy as expected and a developer would be grateful to earn a little extra money...?!

After receiving my new AmigaOne X5000 I also thought about which mail program to choose.
For a quick run I tried 'Sylpheed' under Edgar Schwan's 'AmiCygnix'. I must admit I am not that familiar with Linux but apart from that: Yes, IMAP worked but often the program 'freezes' for few seconds. I did not feel good with it...

So, as a native alternative I gave SimpleMail a try. But Imust say: It is not useable. Yes, for my freenet account, IMAP worked. But it crashed so often! Every time a new mail came in: crash. And so on. So I would say: Try 'Sylpheed', maybe you can handle it better. Or, if IMAP is not a must-have, then of course YAM is fine. But if you can access MorphOS as well, then the best solution is 'Iris'. I have never experienced such an easy set up of my account. Absolutely fantastic.
