I know that it is not your duty but maybe the elbox is doing something as at the moment the mediator is quite useless ....

I received a Radeon 9250 card from Elbox this morning.

The card includes 5V/3.3V converters on-board so should work with
the Mediator 4000T.

Anyone know if it is possible to use this card with OS4? I thought
there was a working driver but can't find anything in storage/monitors?

That should work.
The drivers should be supplied by Elbox.
They were in the last two mediator updates if memory serves.

Or you can edit the kicklayout to use Radeon instead of Voodoo.

if you have a old mediator (not mediator sx/tx) you must use a special pci radeon 9250 with 5 to 3,3V converter on board.

Ciao

I have read that it has a special converter from 5V -> to 3.3V but the Radeon PCI 9250 that i have, is compatible with 3.3V and 5V so there should be no problem.. it should work..

It has the double cut on the pci connectors like all the modern pci card..

warp3d for the radeons would be something that could justify gfx hw update, but i do not think anyone bothers. as i asked elbox about that some weeks ago, they said to their knowledge there is nothing in the makes. which means the w3d drivers for the woodoo are not done by them. so who is maintaining this system if anyone?

The Warp 3D and Voodoo driver were made by Hyperion

The Radeon driver in AmigaOS 4 relies on the BIOS to set up the card, so it won't work as-is on the Classic. I'll look into this if we release an update for the Classic version (note the 'if'; I don't know if or when one is planned).

Yes, it would be nice. I am in contact with Elbox now trying to get their OS3.x driver to work under OS4, but so far no luck.

I need a program that works under OS4 that can read the memory address of the Radeon ROM starting at memory address 5002000.

I tried ARTM but it doesn't read the memory properly (that old program is not working under OS4).

I see all the screenmodes show up for Radeon under OS4, but if I try to use one the system freezes.

The Radeon is working great under OS 3.9BB2 on the same machine.

Any update near future for Classic would be great. Specially! update with working virtual memory on hard disk.

The internal IDE controller of A1200 is too slow for that, and DMA support is broken, the same is true for A4000.

Get SAM440Flex if you need some thing better and faster.
