Software News : Hively Tracker by Iris and Up Rough released for AmigaOS 4.0!

Software News

Hively Tracker is a tracker program based upon the AHX format created in the mid '90s by Dexter and Pink of Abyss.
The format was relatively popular, and many songs were created and used in scene productions and games.

AHX was designed to create a very SID-like sound on the Amiga. Hively Tracker is released for AmigaOS 4.0 only.

HivelyTracker can import and export modules and instruments in the AHX format, but it also improves on AHX
in several ways and therefore has its own instrument and module formats.

HivelyTracker offers the following features over AHX:

* Multichannel (4 to 16 channels)
* Per-channel stereo panning
* Two commands per note instead of one
* Ring modulation
* A more feature rich editor

HivelyTracker was coded by Xeron/IRIS
GUI design and skins by Spot/Up Rough
The included tunes were created by Xeron/IRIS, Varthall/Up Rough and Oxide/Sonik

Looks nice! Any chance to support other mod formats like dbm or mod?

@Chip

Nope. Hively was created because I wanted to create AHX tunes on my AmigaOne, I just extended the AHX format a bit while I made it.

The whole editor and codebase is entirely built around the AHX/HVL format.

Hi Xeron,

I'm going to compose something on this Tracker. An excellent bit of software!

The demo tunes are good as well!

Cheers,
Bean.

P.S. Love the Ring Mod

What a great little program for our platform! I enjoyed listening to the demo tunes.

One little bug though... when you toggle the "windowed/fullscreen" prefs, you have to quit the program before it changes to fullscreen/windowed mode. It's a tiny bug really, the rest of the program is really well done. I love that cracktro style About window. :)

 Re: Hively Tracker by Iris and Up Rough released for Amig...
Sounds great, thanks!

It remembered me at my 5 years with the C=64.

One litle bug i think, but it can also becoming from the A1SE,
when you do somthing else on the SE while playing a song
you get a nerving sound that gets louder. When i stop the song
the sound continues and when i open AHI-prefs the sound stops.

Otherwise a great program and i hope we will have many
songs to add to our songs-directory.

Thanks.
