Publications : Interest in a reprint of the AmigaOS 3.9 book?
Posted by AndreasM on 2007/4/27 12:21:55 (1998 reads) News by the same author
Publications

We got the chance to reprint the German AmigaOS 3.9 book.

This book (roughly 500 pages) of Haage & Partner has been out of stock for a long time......

To make this possible we have to get a minimum amount of orders together.

To see whether there is demand for a reprint we ask all interested users to drop an email at Andreas@apc-tcp.de using the subject "OSBuch".

The scheduled retail price will be between 25 and 29 Euro plus shipping.

This is not a preorder!

I'm not sure. I would be much more interested in a book about OS4.0...

Oh, that would be great...

Hehe Thank you for the offer, but I don't know enough about OS4 to do it. That's the problem.

I've learned so much from reading Total Amiga's articles and it would be amazing to have a book which takes you through it all...

Yeah, I must admit, I learnt a lot about OS4 from reading the Total Amiga Magazine articles too!

Re: Interest in a reprint of the AmigaOS 3.9 book?
Really difficult to answer. Obviously 3.9 is not much of an interest, so it depends on the content of the book as a whole.

A general guide to the AmigaOS is much needed, I would suppose that 70% of the book would be generally applicable and thus very useful.

The only thing I can suggest that would make me a definite buyer is a translation of it, plus appendices of other material etc. An omnibus.
