Would it be possible for someone to publish a hollywood app (free or not) on google play? Currently not, because Hollywood cannot compile into *.apk directly. Building an *.apk involves several tools from the Java and Android SDK like a keystore generator and a jarsigner. Every *.apk has to be signed with a keystore. Replicating all these things in the cross-platform Hollywood compiler is way too much work. But I might release a package containing the Hollywood Player as a shared object along with a skeleton Android project which would allow users to build their own *.apk based on a Hollywood applet. But you would need Linux, Windows or Mac for that because you need the Java and Android SDK. |

![]() Thats cool, you've taken the first step to bring Hollywood to Android :)
Anything you can do to allow for separately-packaged Hollywood applications in the future would be of added benefit. |

![]() Sounds quite good.
Are these compiled apps now smaller in size or are they still of the 'bloated' type ? |

I see, well if it was easy to make android apps (apk's) using it you might be looking at a substantial increase in (non amiga) hollywood developers. |

![]() Please let users have a way to upload their Hollywood programs as apps to Google Play as that would just be the biggest incentive for everyone to get working on their projects and off their arses ![]() |
