Software News

I released my second program written in PortablE language with the big help of the author of PortablE language - Chris - Thanks for it.

This is software protection before unauthorized run AmigaOS. After installation (manual installation only at this moment) the user will need to link some circles in the proper way before they can have access to the OS.

(Posted on behalf of MrDarek)

Download software from OS4 depot:
http://os4depot.net/?function=showfil ... ty/misc/ami-bootguard.lha

This is the initial public evaluation version - feedback, comments are necessary for the next development stages, so here is the place for it :).

Please read the manual before installation! Have fun!

 Re: Ami-bootguard 0.50 released
Hi;

Thanks for posting news here. I hear that some experienced persons can skip user-startup and log-in system anyway. But maybe this software can be used as access to other software by linking it via scripts...
Or if really not usefull I soon release source code so software can be used as programming example in PortablE language...

Any experienced person can break into any system (even Windows with it's password protection) if they know what they are doing, so your "problem" is not unique.

But I do not see this as a problem, since the aim is merely to stop casual person, not some very rare Amiga nut.

BTW, some screenshots of Ami-bootguard would help show people what it is, and so whether it is worth trying.

@mrdarek
I have submitted two pictures to OS4Depot. They should appear in a day or two (i.e. once accepted by moderator). You could post them here aftwards (use the "image" button next to the "email" button).
