Acube Systems is pleased to announce the opening of its corporate website and some interesting projects.

The website will be the main source of information, news and resources regarding all the products and services offered by ACube Systems. Among a lot of interesting features there is an RSS feed and an announcement mailing list you can subscribe to receive all the latest news.

We can finally announce the beginning of the development of STFax 2007, STFax was one of the best professional Amiga programs. Acube Systems signed an agreement with its author Simone Tellini to restart the development of this important program and to evolve it into a more modern package. There will be two different versions of STFax 2007, one called Professional for the single user and a Server one for client/server environment. The package will be available for Windows, MacOS and AmigaOS4, a release date will be announced as soon as possible.

The second important announcement is that Acube Systems will offer to all Amiga One/Teron boards owners a repair service for broken G4 CPU. Full details on our website.

Re: ACube Systems Corporate Web Site
I wonder if a (working) 7455 CPU can be removed from the module and re-used on another?

I have a working module here, but I would like to upgrade it to a faster CPU. If I send them my working module, would they be prepared to resell my CPU (or even the whole module) to someone with a broken CPU and supply me with an upgraded one?

Of course I could always sell/swap it myself and then send them the broken one for repair/upgrade.

Just thinking aloud. I'll ask them formally in an email.

If that doesn't work out, I have a broken module here which I'm thinking of sending to them. Maybe we could arrange something?

Hi Simon,

It would depend on the cost, wouldn't it? I haven't seen any quotes yet. Besides, you would have to decide how much my 3-year old module was worth to you.

Brilliant,
Gongratulations and good luck.
The long awaited fix for broken cpu's is now available, with the added bonus of an upgrade. A triumph of good old fashioned values this country once possessed. Discovery, adventure, experimentation, and perseverence.
Well done

That's good enough for me, I expected them to stay tight lipped about any negotiations with Amiga Inb/Hyperion as that is the professional way to go about such business.

It seems at last we have some professional providers of OS4 capable hardware. They only announce things when there is something to say and also have kept to their original announcement that SAM440EP is on shedule for a 1st Quarter 2007 release.

This to my mind makes me think that everything has been far more advanced in regard of hardware development and OS4 licence negotiations that what most people thought!
