ERRORS None on exceeding account information

I get a big red rectangle telling me

ERRORS

None

when i exceed the number of characters in either
Extra Info
or
Signature
in the account information

This is a rather meaningless error message :-/

Could someone maybe add the maximum number of characters as info text (above or below) of both the input fields?
Or, if possible, add a counter that counts down the remaining chars?
