We do know now after that interview that the A1-X1000 has been booting AmigaOS 4.1 for quite some time now.

Soon to own a powerful AmigaOne X1000 with latest AmigaOS 4.1 incarnation ;) Dual Core PPC!

Actually, there is quite a bit of flashrom space left, so don't tempt me. And, maybe someone can get a Spectrum emulator from Xena...

Seriously, though, don't believe what somebody heard from someone. AmigaOS 4.1 is booting just fine on the X-1000. Work is still underway on some drivers, and I am currently building Amiga file system support into the firmware. So far, we've been booting the kickstart off a network via tftp.

Seriously, if you do want to contact me write me a mail. You're more likely to get a reply then.

Thanks for the news and keep up the awesome work

@Helgis

Why not? CPU is PPC 32-bit compatibile, GFX is Radeon
Sound card can be lifted. The problem are board specific
drivers as usual, so it will take some time for specific
version of OS

(Interesting note: Since Acube/Hyperion are selling OS
version for each board, shouldn`t be OS version be better
optimized)

Now when G3 and G4 are the base, OS software and
OS itself should be better optimized for:

603/604 if someone still uses Classic PPC
G3/G4 for Pegasos and A1 owners (Altivec ...)
SAM CPU (no FPU,some kind of ALtivec)
Full powered unknown CPU of X1000 dual core

and Radeins 7000,9000 and HD

Its not that many compared to x86

True, there is no problem for the mystical X1000 CPU to run in 32-bit, as well as being a true 64-bit CPU...
