Google to launch OS for PCs next year

Just saw this on the BBC News ticker (no story yet). Be interesting to see if they can make a dent in Microsoft's dominance.

My thoughts are as follows:

Google Chrome will just be another over hyped linux distro nothing special - unless google can impress me with something i havent seen before, then Im not going to switch. Saying that , if and when google release ChromeOS all eyes will be on google for a month and probably have 20% (considering how big they are as a company) of the os market for a short time only. It will be a fase which will die out faster than it started with.
